370Z top speed record?

I searched for a top speed record for ours cars and came up with nothing other than a autobahn run to 175mph.

Has anyone attempted this at bonneville or the texas mile? I would hope that someone with twins would be able to do 200 with a lower final drive. It would be bitchen to see a Z hit 200.

I'm kinda amazed it would do 175.

And our cars won't even break the limiter within a mile TBH, not even with TTs. Ze Germans are your best bet, but I doubt you'll see 200MPH, and I assume some aero is needed at that speed too

Didn't someone post a track day video at 175 recently? Maybe at Road America?

I don't see why a twin turbo with E85 couldn't get to 175 in a mile. Some math nerd help me out here but if I can do 120 on 93 octane in a 1/4 mile in 4th there is a lot of room for more GO.

*Edit: Hell...what did the twins do at ZdayZ on the runway?

Doesn't work like that, the faster you go the harder it is. And not linear, exponentially harder

i know for TT G37 it hit 155 but it ran out of room on the road.

Arrvaxx 09-08-2014 10:25 PM

Was it E85?

i can hit 140 pretty easily :)

Our Z group in Taiwan tested it on highway and the top speed for N/A with full bolt-on is 283 km/h which is almost 177mph.

Hitting 200mph takes power and aero. After 180 you have to push hard to hit 200 and beyond that you have to seriously increase horse power to make the smallest gains!

Now that's what I expected. Yeah agree that after that things get hard. I mean it took 1000 hp to get a GTR to 200. I just thought 155 was low.

NoLaKrewe 09-09-2014 07:46 AM

Didn't the 350 cut out at 169

NoLaKrewe 09-09-2014 07:47 AM

Plus how does a car feel after 160? Got to be intense

nomodsjk 09-09-2014 08:33 AM

I have been up to 160 at 440whp. And definitely had a good amount of throttle left actually more throttle than balls. When I'm going so fast that the lines on the highway turn into one solid line and I'm too afraid to look down for a split second to see how fast I'm going then I back off of it. It only takes a small rock or bird or whatever to end your life.
