Launch?

Hey guys, I was curious about what is the best rpm to launch at?

So broad. Too many factors to consider.

What kinda modifications do you have?
Whats your tire setup?
Clutch perhaps?
Hows the track....etc etc

really not an easy question to ask at all

Launch?

The car is completely stock and it is a 14 sport touring. The track is asphalt and dry conditions. It is a 6 speed manual.

I find it best launching at 2500 RPM. What do you guys think? Stock 370Z with 295 Michelin Super Sports (on the rears).

Sounds pretty good, 2.5-3k worked best for me. I stopped launching after I lost a transmission though.

Unless you can put the power down, there's no real reason to launch at high RPMs. I've had some of my quickest launches on worn street tires at 1500-2000 RPMs - no spin, no lurch, all go. But it's all about controlled throttle at almost any launch RPM; otherwise you would be launching at WOT if you could keep traction.

I launch at around 3.2-3 but also load up the suspension and drive train, not just full clutch in then side step.

Depends. If it's not my car, I'd probably go with 7500 RPM and sidestepping the clutch. On my car, I'd be more likely to try 2500 RPM and feathering the clutch just enough to keep from smelling it.
