For a first time out, anything's ok as long as you and the car got back in one piece and had fun :) Was this with an instructor in the car? Only thing that really caught my eye in the video itself was hand position: should be closer to 10+3, esp at the start there. Could go on about lines and all that, but that will come with time. Be careful, it's an addictive hobby :)

^ what he said. although, you did seem to be going pretty slow. that FRS was killing you, even in the sweeping turns :tiphat:

good job though! i went on my first track day last month and had the time of my life. cant wait to get back on the tarmac! :driving:

Yes instructor for the 2 morning sessions. For the 2 afternoon sessions he moved me to group 2 so I was solo. Yea agree on the hands a real bad habit I noticed on autocross as well. Later on I catch myself and readjust but, it is not a habit yet.

Welcome to the club of planning your time around doing track days. :driving: :D

Hehe, first day is nerve wracking. You will progress each time. Looks like fun, much prettier scenery than the rock filled deserts of CA too!

And yeah, you made it home in your own car so you won ;).

You might try some driving gloves next time. Go to a sporting goods store and just buy the cheapest matching left and right golf gloves you can find.

One thing, that camera angle sucks, mount it on top or inside the car
