Who's dropping to 18's for 2014 C-Street?

Mostly for the sport package drivers....anyone else planning to drop from 19's to 18's per the +/- 1inch diameter allowance in C-Street? I'm planning to, but having a difficult time finding decent 18x9's and 18x10's within the 1/4" (~6mm) offset allowance. Any suggestions on wheels?

what's are the allowable offsets? and are spacers allowed?

takjak2 10-25-2013 04:20 PM

Nismo. **** me right?

Width and offset allowances remain the same. No change in width from stock. Offset +/- 1/4 inch from stock. Now allowed +/- 1" diameter

That's right. Stock width, +/- 1/4in offset (wheel and/or spacer as long as the resultant combination is within 1/4in from stock), and now a +/- 1in diameter allowance from stock. Could go up to 20's!:ugh2:

I've been looking, where are seeing the new rules for 2014?

Mike 10-28-2013 05:25 PM

why not use base wheels then?

takjak2 10-28-2013 07:50 PM

Because tire width is not limited and the base wheels are narrower

New account but I've been lurking here for awhile. I'm shopping for a 370z for C Street and I have been looking at a ton of different wheel options. The problem currently is the street tire options in 18s are actually more limited due to overall diameter. The AD08R and Z2 have much more favorable sizes in 19s while the Rival does work in 18s. After doing some research I'm looking at Forgestar wheels, they can come in the offsets/widths we need for 18 or 19 for about 1/2 of what it would cost for CCW to do and everyone I've met who has used them has been pretty happy. Weight should be similar as well and save a couple pounds over the 19s for roughly $1400/set.

Also I might be able to help answer questions about the rules since I'm a bit more intimate with them than most.

I wouldn't worry about the diameter change going to 18's. The car is geared slightly high for most autox courses. The 19" Hoosiers most people run are shorter than OEM and the car still has plenty of gear on those.

Understood, but its quite a large change in some cases such as 285/30/18 (6.9% size change). I'm sure sure 5mph loss is doable, just is quite the change.

I was thinking of getting enkei rpf1 18x9.5 +12 all around with 275/35's. But im still working on a solution on bringing a 2nd set of wheels to the events.
