Is it safe to track with 25/30 profiles?

I'm currently running 20s and of course its more for show (Of course running 18s would probably be a better idea if I'm going to track it, but the thing is the frequency of me going to the track is at max 2x a year), but is it safe to run with them on the track? Fronts are 255/30 with rears being 295/25. Someone said the tires would slip out of the wheels and probably get me killed or my car damaged. I did run with low profiles before and I didn't notice anything going awry. Its not like I'm going to drift with them either, don't really care about the tire cost as that isn't really the issue at the moment.

Thoughts?

Another question, base 18s are 18x8 and 18x9, 245/275 would work.. right?

If the re11 comes in a 30 then I'd say you're safe.

As long as they're not super stretched hellaflush style then you're plenty safe. Not the fastest setup, but safe indeed.

I tracked my 4400lb SL55 before with 255/30/20 and 305/25/20 and it was fine. Make sure you have the right tire pressure tho.

Dude, don't ruin your show tires.

My advice is buy a set of track tires/wheels and go every other month :driving:.
