I knocked my ET down to 8.28 s @ 85.88 mph; 12.75 s @ 109 mph. Time slip uploaded & video. K&N Drop in's only, Achilles Sport2 tires all-season summer radials. I'm no longer stock because of the K&N's (The NISMO panels aren't available in the U.S), but here is the slip & video. Its vs. a Camaro SS, which is descent for what was available on Halloween, the rest were IHRA drag cars & only a few street cars. I might try against one with NOS & full bolt on's next time, or a few slower ZL1's.

i was down there this past weekend in shorts and a tshirt getting dirty looks from the locals who were all bundled up lol

great drag weather though for the southerns who usually dont get that low if temps for air intake purposes. just need to get those tires wamr and sticky for the colder pavement.

based on your 1/8 mile and mods i think your 1/4 mile guesstimate is off.

i dont see anything sub 12.9 with that slip you posted.

maybe if the track is downhill but thats about it.

Come on down to San antonio raceway this Friday and let's see if you can break 12's. I'm with the rest of the guys here thinking you would run a low 13 but doubt the 12 second realm. See you there if you can make it

FPenvy 11-04-2014 11:21 AM

yea i like the track since i do have my personal best there.

i will be returning to beat that soon with fresh tires. whenever i did mine the tires were like 50%

maybe even with some DRs :stirthepot:

Going back to Capitol Raceway to try that? I might have to come watch If you do.

I'm honestly surprised anyone can get ANY bests there. Their track-prep seemed lax at best, and you're lucky to get 2-3 runs on a normal day.

That being said, if it works for ya, great!

And DR's seem to be the no-duh route. Never understood drag racing on streets (if you're serious about it), but $$$ is an issue for many so it is what it is.

Funny thing is, the prep is actually an improvement from where it was a couple years ago.

dude that track produced a great ET for me and much lower than the tracks here. i dont know if it's weather, sea level, track prep, etc....

my best time up here is 13.0

at capitol i ran back to back 12.89/12.90 ask blades lol :stirthepot:

and the DRs are coming i just am fine tuning what and how i want to do it.
looked into going 18x12 wheels for some serious meat but cant really find 18s that will clear sport brakes. and no i will not shave or remove my calipers. i pride myself on driving to the track the same way i drive the car everyday lol no trailer queen. also may just go OEM rays with 305 DRs or go 19x11's? or so with 315-325 DRs
