Spent 1400 so far, still don't have 18 rims!

18" rims

I bought 2 sets and still don't have 18" wheel's either! What rims are you looking at? I am looking at the forgestar f14's but they are 6 to eight weeks out! I'm taking Mike's advice and looking at 18x10 with + 34 offset. Are there any rims for our cars that clear big brakes and have this offset in a standard stocked rim that does not cost an arm and a leg? Let me know, Thanks, Ken

How much are the Forged star? I am looking at Konig Milligram ($850) or TSW ($950). The Konig is 35mm and 9.5" and the TSW is 9.5" with 40mm offset. The Milligram is about 20lbs and the Nurburgring is around the same. THey have something called TSW Max, but it is close to 27-29lbs range.

I want something in the $500-600 range, new or used. Arggg.

My spring collection is current

4 A6 in 18s
2 R6 in 18s
4 Pirelli Corsa in 19s
4 Pirelli Trofeo in 19s

And now I need to figure out what to do with rims, my tax refund better come back soon

I just found out I need to pay 6000 in taxes. My forge stars were 1200 two years ago. My 9.5s are 4 rear 350z rays that I had widened. Total cost was all about 1200

I amended my taxes from the last three years, getting enough back to do all this stupid BS.

BTW Mike, thanks once again for the find. Love the deal, but hate it at the same time given how much I have spent.

hmmm I like the TSW Nurburgring... I wonder if those are heavy enough for SpecZ. (and if i can cram these tires on a 9" wheel)

cossie1600 03-27-2013 08:41 PM

They feel like they are around 19lbs.

cossie1600 04-20-2013 11:57 AM

Has anyone use them yet? While I was breaking them in, I notice the tire is too tall and it might be rubbing on the fender liner tabs. Anyone else has the same problem? I am on 18x9.5 with 40mm offset. I was testing it at full lock, perhaps this only happens at full lock?

Mike 04-20-2013 04:20 PM

i ran them on my 18x9.5 +46 with a 5mm spacer which made them +41 and there was no rubbing. Also, I ran the new ones on my 18x10+34s with no rubbing either.

I am also running 3 degrees negative camber.

cossie1600 04-20-2013 04:38 PM

I am on stock camber, maybe that's why. #$%^&*

Mike 04-20-2013 08:19 PM

well, you shouldn't be at full lock on the track, so you should be fine.

cossie1600 04-20-2013 09:10 PM

I just hope it is that. It is hitting that little knob at the front of the fender. I also see a little rub mark on the lock tabs on the upper edge
