ok, its go time. if ur even thinking about going now is the the time to buy tickets! parade laps will be limited.
if u have tickets , make the decision to either stay where u have tickets or move to turn 15 with the group. if u already have parking talk to aj and he can get u transferred to the corral parking. parade laps depend on the level of participation of our group and will be done on a first come first serve basis. so dont delay in getting signed up!

Well I'm definitely going to the race, but my Z won't be drivable until mid march most likely, so I won't be able to bring it. :(

I would def suggest opening it to be an all Nissan Coral... The more the merrier ;)
I could be wrong but I thought Nissan was planning to bring their showcase transporter? (I can find out for sure)
Really looking forward to this event.
I am thinking Grand Am may be giving us a weight break..but won't know for another week or so.
The dyno run at Daytona turned out to be "interesting" to say the least.
One Mustang made a lot more umph than any of the others... And the Aston Martins made more than grand Am thought.
We shall see how it goes ....4 weeks isn't that far away.

Dude. I hope they give you a weight break and but some motherfckin restrictors on those jerkoffs.

It was obvious in the straights that they're running too much power.

They wont even tell us what we put down.
I was told that one particular Mustang had an apparent difference on the dyno that all the others....
And that The officials "learned something that they didnt know about" with the Astons.
They dynoed lots of cars at the test days...and not just the fast cars.. But multiple cars if the same make from different teams.
When tht dynoed us they dyno all 3 maps and take the ecu.
From everything I have heard.. The Roush car has a secret switch /button to switch maps as well as the Aston.
Both run factory ECU which gives them some advantage as Grand Am has to find what/ where that switch is.
If they found it...then whooooops .
Guess we shall see.
I can say this...the new race director isn't taking any crud and they mean buisness. Car to car avoidable contact is now a stop n go + 60 seconds.
In the 24 ...they were giving stop and go + 3:00 for pit lane speeding violations.
Crazy.
If we get a weight break we will most likely be allowed a carbon rear hatch and lexan rear window in the least.

Damn! I just bought my Grand Stand seat and Parking Pass literally 20 minutes before seeing this thread...

Boost, have no fear, you can sit in the seats you bought and they will transfer your parking pass to corral parking. that way you can still participate in all the festivities.

This is a facebook event created for any Nissan owner wanting to attend the Gran Am races at COTA in march. we have set up a Nissan Car Corral with exclusive parking and will have parade laps on the track at COTA. please share this event with any and all Nissan owners , the more the merrier. i will update the thread when we are assigned a sales associate.

still waiting to be assigned a sales rep, will let u know what to do when i hear. most likely it will be just call and they will get u set up over the phone. problem is the marketing manager is out of the office for a few days and we will be communicating via email. so just be patient and i will hook all this up.

If I DO manage to get my Z ready to rock before the races, I'll bring it down, but it'll look ridiculous all caged out with no interior/radio/hvac lol

Or rather, I will LOOK ridiculous driving 3+ hours on the freeway like that. Also have to see if I can borrow someone's passenger seat for my buddy going down with me.. LOL.

Nissan family ....this is a go! we have a 100 spot block! seats will be in turn 15 and we will be in lot d for Nissan Car Corral. for those with seats you will have the option to switch seats to be with the group or keep ur seats. the beautiful thing about this lot is that it is right by the seats! if u have parking already it can be converted to corral parking as well. our rep is being assigned right now, next update will have the number to call!

Hmmm tempting. I have an HPDE thingy that weekend (Mar 2/3) at TWS in College Station, but I could drive up there for just Friday and then head back to College Station that night.
