Actually the non-Nismo's can now run in STR assuming legal modifications. Here's the link to the change.

SCCA Fasttrack

#9283 370Z Classing Proposal
Per the STAC, this is addressed by two separate Tech Bulletins:
1) Add to STR: ‘09-’12 Nissan 370Z (except NISMO)
2) Clarifiy 14.4 by adding: “Standard equipment wheels exceeding these maximums are not permitted.”

This came out of my request to have the 370Z classed in STU. I failed to mention the Nismo in my letter. Even the base model 18" wheels are too wide to be allowed in the STR class.

I could not find the publications for the above mentioned tech bulletins in the past year and the recently published 2013 solo rules doesn't [yet] reflect it.

I thought 9" was allowed in the STU class? Am i mistaken?

Reviving this post from the beginning of the year. Our car seems that it fits into STU pretty well and the times in STU tend to be faster than STR (from my quick analysis). Would they let us jump up to STU if we wanted to run on our stock tire/wheel widths? (Since they are too wide for STR where we are actually classed)

Look forward to the next Fastrack. We could be in STU within a week thanks to the letters we sent from this thread: http://www.the370z.com/track-autocro...ing-class.html

The last e-mail I received indicated that my "letter has been reviewed by the Solo Events Board [made it to the top] and will appear in the next Fasttrack."

Yea ASP! The only two classes that are cars fall in are c-stock and asp unless you have a Nismo then you would be in b-stock. If you wanted to run c- stock you would have to remove the springs, test pipes and intake. You can only have 1 sway bar also in c-stock. Remember you can not get magnetic numbers if you plan on putting them on the doors. The doors and the hood are aluminum.

I put mine on the fender but not sure if thats "legal". Nobody in my club or events have ever told me different. Of course i have only run locally too.
