LOL, you probably talked them at ZDAYZ, Sandra and Brianna were both there and where hosting Nissan Nismo booth were the Club Sport Nismo 370z was parked. You can find their email info on either the SCCA or NASA web sites for contingencies. :tiphat:

Also be warned that if you need stickers, Nissan will send them out but without paying the postage. Just got a note in my mailbox today that I have to go to the post office to pay the $2.21 in postage to collect my stickers.

I was fully expecting this to be the case, but yesterday, they just showed up in my mailbox.

Ok, who's registered for Solo Nats to run in FP?

Brendan 07-03-2019 07:51 AM

How long after sending in did it take for you guys to get your nissan/nismo contingency stuff, and did you get any type of confirmation on receipt?

gomer_110 07-03-2019 04:44 PM

I had an email confirmation within a day or two. Stickers were I think within 1-2 weeks.

Brendan 07-10-2019 08:14 AM

I just sent everything a second time and asked for confirmation of receipt or correction on any of the forms.

I was hoping to spend money on something sexy like an oil cooler, but it seems that the csc in the new car is on its way out. I have a new one ordered and hope to have it in by nats. No trailer this year and I don't want to get stranded on the way to, at, or from the event this year.

And this is why SP is better than ST. While you have to keep using the $hitty factory csc's, I get to use the ZSpeed CMAK.

Well that was both a fun and frustrating Solo Nats. Went in to the week as a single driver but after a fellow local had his RX8 lose the transmission at the Pro Finale I had him jump into the Z as the second driver for the Solo Nats part of the week. We started on the east course on day 1 and while my codriver had the times to compete with the top of BSP according to the Solostorm data, the car was having intermittent ABS failures causing severe lockups causing missed braking points and even a DNF.

Luckily on day 2, the ABS issue didn't rear it's ugly head, at least not to what we could tell. My codriver was able to run times near the top guys and according to the data, could have had the top time with just a few adjustments on course.

It was good to see that the car is capable of running at the front in BSP even without an alien driver. If anyone is looking for a class to play in competitively with a 370z, I would encourage you to consider BSP. Honestly you could probably take an STU 370z, put Hoosiers and aero on the car, and be running at the front.
