V8 SUpercars are at Bathurst for the SpuerCheap Auto 1000km race today, tomorrow and race-day Sunday.

It streamed live on youtube and was a lot of fun to watch. I just got this email from the Circuit of the Americas.

Any of you Aussies that want to come up for the race can stay at my place. It's only a 18 hour flight to DFW airport :)

Holy crap...they are bringing V8 Super Cars to the US?? I might have to make the jump to Texas for this.

I say they make a fake-NASCAR race at Watkins Glen or one of the road courses on the season schedule and trick all of the NASCAR fans with what "COULD BE". Introduce them to what REAL V8-powered GM/Ford vehicles should be doing.
