The issue is not so much the thread as it is the wheels wanting to turn more than the lower control arm lets you. I've shaved some of the lower control arms for more angle...it will be enough until an angle kit is made for the 370z. (I have a set of narrower wheels for the front to test)
Been developing this car with the help of 2 FD drivers.

Yeah our courses are pretty bumpy :P

So now Im curious to know who is helping you haha. 370z drivers like Forsberg and Castro? Im going to still see if I can get some adapters made, Ive just been focusing on buying a house lately and possibly selling the Z.

^^NOOOOOOOO!!!!! :shakes head:

guess you gotta do what you gotta do though. Im subbing this thread. Anyone have any recommendation on coilover settings. I have stance GR+ and I am trying to dial them in for AUTOX... im guessing the same setup for drift would apply with maybe a little more neg camber up front. Maybe an alignment printout or something? thanks! :tiphat:

Yea Chris has been really helpful and Miro has been super with helping me understand drift setup / driving and balancing things out.

Adapters won't solve the bigger picture since the lower control arms are in the way,+ the caster is not very much stock (need arms to adjust) and the Ackerman angle is def not for drifting on this car. The Angle kit that Chris is working on takes care of all these issues as far as angle, caster, camber, ackerman, and controlling bump steer is concerned.

ABS is a problem ... and working on pulling it out.

URA, do you have any pictures of how you grinded the lower control arms? I'm still waiting for Voodoo13 to give more information on their drop knuckles, but I bet they will be crazy expensive.

I will have to take one pic next time.

Thats awesome that you get to work with them. Super jelly! Weve got a lot of 350 drivers over here but Im the only 370. As far as the adapters I shaved the bump stops off and I still have the same steering angle so I need something until Voodoo releases their kit.

subbbb :)
VDC--- have you ever herd of any events towards the Austin area? kinda new there and was hoping to start back up so i can get the rust off :P

VDC_OFF 04-10-2014 06:48 AM

We have had events there in the past at the Travis county expo parking lot but that lot sucks there. That's where I wrecked my 240sx. Closest you will find now are drift corpus events, mineral wells or gulf greyhound park in Houston. Texas people do a lot of traveling.

People drift in the Travis County Expo parking lot?!?!?

Scary $hit :wtf2:

For now, I wish there was stuff just to spectate at around Austin. I would love to get into some drifting but I need another DD first.
