The chassis will go to the frame shop so we shall see.... I'll say this.. The roof is buckled. By far one the best if not the best production based series on the planet.
It also is one of the longest running series in the US although it's changed names a couple times.
But when you get 60+ car fields every race ... Indy we are expecting 90 cars.

I really wish Grand-Am would crack down on this kind of behavior. I know there's "racing incidents" but this was just blatant stupidity. There just needs to be a rule that if while recovering from a spin,etc. that if your action is the direct cause of another incident that you're suspended for the following race. Do it a second time in the same season then your season is over.

And while I don't claim to know anything about actual road racing, why the hell aren't the corner workers more involved in making sure this kinda crap doesn't happen. It seems to me that having the corner worker hold the car until the track is clear would be an easy solution to this problem.

Race director needs to bust some balls at the morning drivers meeting. Corner workers need to be in contact with each other and know when to flag properly. Most are volunteers though and are not trained properly.

From what I was told ...the driver in the BMW will be sitting out te next 3 races which is the rest of the year. That was the rumor ... If it happens I applaud the series ... It's about time.

Excellent driving and boy was that car hooked up. Mike was passing the other GT cars like they were ST cars! This is giving me bad thoughts about my 370z :)

It reminds we of a SCCA club race I had back in 2004 where I was moved to the back of the grid for passing under yellow during qualifying. I was so pissed that I threw caution to the wind and went balls out for the entire race. It seemed like I passed a car almost every corner. I only finished 3rd but I passed 28 cars in only a 25 minute race.
