Tying in a datalogger (DL1 in my case) to the ECU?

Just got a Z about a week ago. In my S2000, I was able to (fairly easily) tap into the ECU wiring to feed things like water temp, intake air temp, TPS, RPM, etc to my DL1.

Still finding my way around these forums... I did a bit of searching, but no luck.

So, I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone has any info on tying in to the 370z ecu with a datalogger. Surely it's been done?

And a noob question: where are the ecu connectors located on this car?

:tiphat:

Help a noob out, folks. Did I drop a deuce in the punchbowl here? Is this a retarded question?

Surely someone has tapped in, either between sensors and ecu, or between ecu and dash gauges...

Cheap way - buy OBD2 bluetooth ($20-30), pair it with your Android running Torque app, can datalog as much you want.

Too bad my JDM spec 370z is not OBD2 compliant

Thanks... I already have a datalogger.

Check out travisjb's thread. I think he had a hard time even getting an RPM signal.

Edit: it's funny how no one is paying attention to you, vjarnot. :)

Buy an uprev cipher cable and datalog in cipher through the obd2, no need to hardwire anything

Thanks sig11, I've skimmed that whole thread... it's a bear! I'll check again, but I don't remember there being anything too useful on the datalogger front.
