Track day tow points for 370Z

Anyone who is taking their 370Z to the track, what do you use for tow points?

At Laguna Seca and from what I can find on-line for other tracks in the NorCal area, I need both front and rear tow points.

I've got a brand new '11 370Z w/Sport package and in front there is a threaded hole in behind a removable plastic piece of the front grill that looks perfect for a large eye-bolt to be the front tow point.

In the rear, there is another small piece in bumper that covers a hole in the rear bumper internal foam, but no threaded hole in the metal underneath.

Is this supposed to be the rear tow point? Should it be drilled and threaded?

What are others using for a rear tow point at tracks that require both front and rear?

Thanks,

There should be a big eye-bolt in your spare tire area, screws into the front tow point. There is no similar rear tow point. Not sure what racers use for that when the track requires it.

Look underneath the car on the rear left side. There is a loop welded to the rear member of the body. That is the rear tow loop.

Thanks

Thanks for the info.

I looked for the eyebolt when I bought the car and don't remember seeing it. I will look again.

I'll also look for the rear loop

thanks again,
:v)
