Vert allowed at 1/4 mile racetrack I'n the us?
 
A few friends and I have made plans to hit raceway park this wed. In NJ and I have a vert. Does anyone know they will let Me race? I though the rule was as long as my helmet was under my rollbar I'm ok. I called raceway park and i get a machine. Please help

I have never heard of a 'vert that runs low 13's being turned away from a drag strip in the US, however, YMMV.

Well I just called raceway park and they answered. I can hit the track all day but as long as I'm not faster then 13.5. Well I hope I break the 13.5 and I get kicked out on my 1st run ;)

Good luck! I remember my first run where the guy at the track told me that I only needed a helmet if I ran less than a 14.0. He was like "you probably won't need one, so just go ahead". Then I ran a 12.986 on my first run :icon17:

I ended up having to borrow one from someone since they didn't have any available for rent.
