Tracking 2011 370Z
Hi Everyone,
Just bought a 2011 370Z in December of 10. I have the Sport Package and the 6MT. It does not say anywhere in in the options or standard equipment about an oil cooler. Thinking about doing some mild track events in my area. What is a good oil cooler to purchase and does the dealer have one as a Nismo option? What about Brake Pads and changing the Fluid. Is this necessary? What are my options there too? Any help is much appreciated. Great Car too. Thanks!!! |
you definitely need an oil cooler and you need better fluid and pads also. both are must haves.
Z1, GTM, Stillen and Nismo all make good oil cooler kits. for pads, I like Carbotech and fluid Motul or Brembo. |

Nissan does have a Nissan motorsports oil cooler, but spec wise, its not the best available one. It is also more expensive than the others and the NIssan oil cooler is not warrantied. So essentially its just an expensive aftermarket oil cooler that isnt as good. But definitely if you want to track recommend the following: Oil cooler (if you track alot get 34 row, if you track 1 to 2 times a year 25 should be ok) Upgrade brake pads (Others could recommend better pads) Motul brake fluid. SS brake lines. SS clutch line. Motul clutch fluids. While most would say it isnt necessary and I agree it may not be necessary, I personally changed my tranny and diff fluids with Redline fluids. The original diff fluids when i did my change at 5k miles was just ridiculously brackish. |
Mike, how is that endurance compound you have compare to the XP?
