My worst track times ever (dragstrip)

Well i ran the other night, DA was around 2500, humidity was around 58%, and it was 93 degrees, everything running was choking.

My best run was a 13.7 @103mph with a 2.059 60ft time (bone stock on my stock tires). I was running a new 5.0 stang that was running 13.5's all night. I know this baby is good for a 13.3, it just wasnt the night for it...

Oh and my buddies stock 04 350Z auto was besting 14.7's...without any spinning...

That's about the same weather we get down here in south Florida. Good 60-ft time especially for the Nismo.

Great 60ft time! On the other thread i said it would be a miracle if you hit sub 2.1 but you did. Good driving!

Thanks, I only made 5 passes, there wasn't any uses in trying harder, I couldn't have drove any better. I cut two 2.0 60fts, the rest were 2.2's. But my quickest was an 8.9 1/8th, my SRT would cut 8.4's all day, and the car is just as quick...just don't get why is wouldn't bust a 13.7...hell my stock 08 tundra ran a 13.9 when I raced it!

^ i hear your frustration. This car just isn't a good drag car... It might not have the numbers but it is faster from the roll than cars that put down similar or even slightly better 1/4 mile numbers.

With the 2500 DA correction the car is trapping 106 and doing 13.2 which is pretty respectible.

Yeah, im goin to a VIper Truck meet in Panama City May 2011, all makes and models welcome, some great friends of mine. We'll be renting out the track to play around, i won the N/A class this year with my 10, imma run the Z and see what she'll do down there, 13.7 is rediculous for 2.0 second 60' times :owned:

The Nismo just isn't a good drag car period. I found this out last night when I went to the strip. It's due to the fact that there is absolutely no weight transfer due to the stiff suspension. The rear doesn't squat whatsoever... I've made mine even worse by putting lowering springs on it. I made 5 passes my best 60 ft. time was 2.128 and 13.827 @ 102.8. I also ran...
13.840 @ 103.16
13.892 @ 102.86
13.893 @ 102.68
13.934 @ 103.90

So I was fairly consistent. The car just isn't meant to drag. I dragged many of street cars but just can't launch the Nismo hard enough to get a good ET. Still had fun and was still faster than 90% of the cars up there but was disappointed at the same time. The car would've beat just about anything if we were doing a 30 MPH roll.. oh well need to take it to a road course where it will really shine. I'm gonna post some videos of the drags here in a few. just wanted to share my experience.

DA was 2279 so my adjusted best time would be 13.459 @ 104.939.

Very consistent, how do you adjust your time according to the DA?

Here's my two 2.0 60' time runs...the rest were also 13.8's and one 13.9 run, it was chirping 3rd every pass, but that bit of slippage on 2nd and 3rd wasn't enought to hold it back that much...

60' - 2.059
1/8th - 8.945 @ 80.17mph
1/4th - 13.773 @ 102.79mph

60' - 2.085
1/8th - 8.989 @ 80.19mph
1/4th - 13.832 @ 102.36mph

Very consistent as well, just much slower than I'm used to seeing I guess, I know this thing is faster, and these slow times (to me) weren't due to lack of weight transfer because it was hooking pretty well off the line...I blame the effin heat!
