Everyone needs to relax and stop taking things so personally. Suggesting another car is not a reflection of you or your car choice. He asked if the 370Z was the best track duty car for $30k and the short answer is no. Now if he were looking for a brand new daily driver that would be fun at the occasional track day, then it would probably be at the top of my list.

Yes, it is but as an auto enthusiast, we welcome post(s) about other cars as well. We also welcome members with all different kind of automobiles NOT just 370Z owners.

All I gotta say is: SHIFTER KART! Forget track car, i.e. a full size street car modded to be a race car.

250cc Suzuki motor on a good chasis (Italian, American or Japanese made) will accelerate like a street-bike. It'll make a $300K Ferrari look like it's standing still.

Try it, actually, you gotta be an experienced driver to mess with these. I rode my friend's with a Honda CR80 motor, and the thing flies. It's very scary.

Hack - I believe you are correct - mine was number 260...built 7/26/06...I remember you getting yours within days of mine showing up. Fortunately, mine wound up in the hands of an enthusiast here in Seattle.

Everyone else - back to the 370z question - is there a good fix for the overheating problem yet?

I had a 05 EVO 8 that i picked up for 22k...and it kicked major butt! I loved it! But i still tracked my Z more. Mostly because i was concerned with the reliability of the EVO. But i beat on the Z everytime i drove it and it loved it.
