Z Nationals Track Day @ Little Talledega - ONLY $150

Everyone,
As a part of our 2010 Z Nationals festivities, we will also be holding both a Road Course and 1/4 mile drag race event on Friday and Sunday respectively.

The Road Course event is free to spectators (and everyone is invited!) and is ONLY $150 for drivers, for the entire day. Cars will have to pass a technical inspection and drivers must have long pants, closed toe shoes and an approved Snell SA2005+ Helmet (or a M2005 on NONE Roll cage equipped cars).

The track will again bethe Little Talladega Motorsports Part. It is about 45 minutes from the event hotel and is great 1.4 mile track with wide, grassy runoffs and a nice combination of wide sweeping courners and tight, decreasing radius hair pins.

Preregistration is limited to Nissan Zs, GTRs, & Infiniti Gs only and spots are both limited and filling up quickly!.

To view more about the track or to register, check out the following links:

Talladega Grand Prix Raceway (Talladega Gran Prix Raceway - Race Track Leasing and Racing School)

Z Nationals 2010 - Registration and Event Info

We will have several SCCA certified drivers who will act as instructors for those of you who have never road raced, and will ride along with you to teach you the basics of performance driving, track etiquette, etc. This is a great venue for first time drivers looking to get acquainted with their Z or G in a track enviornment...PLUS you get to do so with other Z/G owners!

Be sure to print off the tech inspection sheet from the Z Nationls 2010 website and be ready to put your skills to the test!

The road course event is sponsored by:
Z1Motorsports.com - Nissan 300zx, 350Z, 370Z, Infiniti G35, and G37 Parts and Performance Experts.
&
SpeedForSale.com - 2009+ Nissan GT-R R35, Toyota Supra Turbo, Viper, and ZR-1 service, cars, and parts for sale..

Lol... its HAS happened before. But only once. A poor guy from New Jersey is the ONLY car to have ever gotten into bad accident (as far as vehicle damage). But none of us understands to this day how in the world he he did it though.

You'll be fine Dai. Bring an extra pair of underwear with you in case you get in trouble. Lol.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and driving the track!

We had a great time last year. I gave out quite a few rides and it was a fun group. As Dustin mentioned, this is one of the safest tracks out there, and you have to try REALLY hard damage your car. Plenty of wide open run offs in just about every corner, coupled with fairly modest overall track speeds means this is a great place to learn the art of high performance driving.

Dustin@Z1 09-16-2010 03:46 PM

We have a few open spots left for the track event! Be sure to register soon as it will fill up.

If you are considering tracking your car and the spots do fill up. Be sure to come out anyway Friday and be prepared! In the event that there is a "no show" or vehicle failure. We will pull from a waiting list.

Dustin, just a note to again thank everyone at Z1 for the track day at Taladega. I had a great time thanks to Chad, my instructor. He was outstanding and helped me realize what my Z was capable of. The track was fun and I enjoyed the turns alot. Again, thank you!

2theextreme 10-02-2010 12:22 AM

 I was only a spectator but even just watching everything unfold before my eyes was fun! Never got bored once!

Dustin@Z1 10-05-2010 06:54 PM

Jon,
Tracking any car becomes addicting. I am glad that you had a fun and safe experience. I was glad to see more 370z's on the track this year between you, Dai, Jeremy, Mike and Chris, I fell there was an excellent 370z presence at the track event!

If you are interested in doing other track events, definitly take a look at Asphault Ventures. Stacy King runs a great program with events all over the east coast.

Yeah, it was good to see several 370Zs out there tearing it up! I'll check out asphalt ventures as well. See you and the crew the next time and at ZDayZ 2011!
