SCCA Solo2 C Stock Question

Anyone running in C Stock in their 370Z Sport?

Are you running 18's because 19's have only one potential fit..

Hoosier A6's:

265/35ZR19 fronts on the 19x9's....

295/30ZR19 rears on the 19x10's...

Will those 265's fit in the front wheel wells and clear the strut and outside fender lips?

How much rim and tire can be fitted to the fronts without mods to the fender lips? Only a .25" offset from stock rims are allowed.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

MAX

you probably want to run 295 or 315 all around if you are serious, car plows too much to run stagger.

265 doesnt rub

Do you know of anyone who is running on 295's or 315's legaly in C Stock?

Are they using the OEM rims?

Are you sure there is enough clearance for these size tires w/o spacers at front and rear?

cossie1600 08-25-2010 05:56 PM

I have run 285 personally on OEM rims, they fit.

Yes, my friend runs 295 Hoosiers on stock rear rims

I've run 295's front and rear all season, only very very slight rubbing in the front but nothing to worry about. If you want to run in stock you have to run the wheel size your car came with so 19's if you have the sport package or 18's otherwise.

Those are 295/19's at all 4 corners?

If the Nismo comes with an oil cooler why can't we add a Nismo unit to a Sport model and still be legal in CSP. I do not see the Nismo in a different class....

cossie1600 08-25-2010 10:54 PM

You mod the car, you will be in BSP, not CSP.

It's stupid SCCA rules, don't ask why.

I believe Nismo is BS and regular 370 are CS

MAX SEAT TIME 08-25-2010 10:55 PM

oops I meant to add an Nismo oil cooler and stay in C Stock...

cossie1600 08-26-2010 12:35 AM

answer is still the dumb SCCA rule. Plus the unit doesn't come standard on a Nismo.

It's like why I have to pay $1300 for a set of tires that last 60 competitve runs in stock class

Like he said you cannot add the oil cooler and stay in stock. However you will not need the cooler for autox. There is enough time between runs and they are short enough to keep the temps down.

Which Z are you? I was at the SSCA Nationals in Lincoln, NE and watched the 370 guys competing.

Sweet...nice runs. Was that you by chance without the rear muffler? I thought it was the blue one.

Yea that was me. We run the invidia cutback without the muffler section. No idea what it does for power but it loses 15 lbs and passes sound easily while still sounding awesome.
