Most people don't notice it because the slow down is slight, i.e. if your wheel is really spinning that bad it really isn't propelling you forwards any.

It happens to me on track with cold race tires coming out of medium speed corners (70-80 mph). It doesn't really bother my situation but I could see it being a problem in a competitive style drift scenario.

all you have to do is unplug the bosch connector under the e-brake and no vdc or slip light. you can also wire a switch to it so you dont have to plug it in and unplug it everytime you want it off.

Bringing back an older thread lol. Im not totally impressed without the whole traction control system in the car. Normally u have on, then a semi off, and then everything off (<= very scientifical lol) Seems like we can't turn everything off with out pulling a fuse or relay. What gives Nissan!!!! You absolutely can feel traction control or what ever it is kick in while tring to drift of slide. I can't drift the car for crap compaired to my firebird. Plus the stock LSD is not much better than an open rear.

A sales rep told me to hold the VDC button for 5 secs and let go. Give that a whirl and see what that does.

It doesn't do anything. It's either ON or OFF, except there is a a feature called ABLS that can't be turned of. The ABLS prevents one wheel burnout

That's the Chevy trick - doesn't work on Nissan's or Infinity's.

Do u guys need pics on how to wire a switch to the Bosch sensor so it turns off everything? I have no problem drifting till the tires are gone. Just get a switch of your choice and some wire and it can be done in 30 min or less and u can disable when u want. I never have it on unless it's raining. Makes the car a lot more fun and u don't have push a button everytime u start the damn car.

To find the module, just Google 370 vdc location

If you have switch blanks instead of switches by the cup holder, you can pop 1 out and use a switch you bought from Amazon

Just cut 1 lead from the vdc, run it into the switch and out of the switch back to the vdc lead to add the on off switch.

As for abs..
That's a fuse in the fuse box adjacent to the battery... you have to remove all of the cover plastics to reveal it.

You should be able to get away with the vdc. Cut off switch for most things, but abs will fight you on open track, and also go into ice mode on hard braking if your rears lock up... ice mode should be called kill you mode since it thinks you are on ice and dampens your braking power to almost nothing... so be careful when selecting brake pads :tiphat:
