Pacific Raceways with the Porsche club a couple weeks ago.

(i get that it's not about the merits of the photography itself as much as the Z in front of all those porsches, i'm just saying, it could at least be in focus...)

am i the only one noticing that the hood is dirty while everything else is clean?

Please tell me you are kidding. The hood is carbon fiber.

i think black works best with the fangs, it looks amazing...the fangs kinda look out of place on all the other colors...PW still FTMFW tho :)

I wasn't referring to the merits of photography I was just saying it wasn't a bad pic, but it could be more refined. I didn't know if it was out of focus or not. But its a good start. I'm no photographer so I fail hard

i like it cuz it shows the Porsches sniffing the exhaust pipes of that Z! haha! +1 on the carbon fiber hood

People who know me know there is usually very little dirt on my car let alone my CF hood. You guys are funny. Sure was a fun track day. At Pacific Raceways it really is not all HP but working the lines and being smooth.

How much weight are you actually saving over the factory aluminum hood?

Not really about the weight. The hood cost a couple hundred less than getting a few dimples fixed in my OEM. I do like the look, but the real motivation was the $.

So.............did you win

This was not a "race" event but a driver's "education" event in terms of the track's insurance versus rental costs…..etc.

I passed some serious contenders but I also got passed during the day….. Just fun stuff at high speeds.

Looks like he could have used a little Windex on that hood!

BTW, I agree that this is no award winning photo but from a car lover's standpoint it's great.

haha, well, i haven't seen much carbon fiber hoods, and in that light, it didn't look like carbon fiber to me honestly. looked like a light layer of dirt/dust.

after it was pointed out that it was carbon fiber that's when i began my :facepalm:
