Corner weight stock vehicle/weight distribution sports package

LF RF
LR RR

911 920
756 762
3349lbs

54.7% F&R weight distribution without me in the car
45.3%

2009 stock 370z with the sport package, nothing else in the car with the exception of maybe 3 lbs of personal stuff and a full tank of gas. Also tires are RE11 265/35/19F and 285/35/19R. Car has 1200 miles

With me in the car (215lbs), weight distribution becomes 54.1%/45.9%

I find this information to be pretty cool, was curious the actual weight of these cars. A bit on the heavier side of things though.

agree. It is supposed to be 3200lbs curb weight? Let's say sports package adds 100lbs to the total, where did the extra 50lbs come from?

I dont have the # with me, but I believe my old 350z 2004 enthuasist was 3300lbs flat.

Do you have a touring?

cossie1600 05-17-2010 11:13 AM

base.

i reread the website, I think the curb weight is 3232. So I guess it is within reasons. I know the sports package is going to be heavier, but wasnt expecting 100lbs heavier

Fluids add weight.

cossie1600 05-17-2010 03:57 PM

curb weight is loaded with full fluids minus luggage and driver

Woof. Car is a heavy pig... how much more does the 7AT add?

Where's that weight reduction thread hiding...? I'd love to shed about 100 lbs from the car without a blowtorch...

EDIT: Found it... search is my friend.

Full tank of gas.

From the internet:
The typical weight of gasoline at 72 degrees F was around 6.25 pounds per gallon.
As it becomes cooler it became more dense and thus weighs more and above this
temperature it is less dense and a gallon weighs less.

I believe the auto and sports package each add about 40 lbs apiece.

azn370z 06-02-2010 04:03 PM

It's was confirmed a long time ago that the z with sports package weighs about 3350 lbs. Mine came out to about that weight when it was corner balanced.

50/50 crosses right out of the box. That's terrific!
