What a race! I can't wait to drive my car in that track. I was recently driven in that track by a professional driver in a Lexus IS-F which was awesome. I know Drew already driven his Z in this track. Hopefully he can give us some pointers.

Yeah, this is a typical IT race - these guys race in my area all the time. The red car is Dave Maynard, a pretty quick driver (and young). This is why SCCA racing is great. Close and competitive.

Yeah, I was down at NJMP last month for RLTA and it was pretty awesome. I can't wait to find an excuse to go back there again.

I think there is some Ferrari challenge going on soon, or something like that?

WTF is up in that first vid? I couldn't tell if there was a lot of douchebaggery going on or if they're that crazy. And they can still drive like that with the ambulance and tow truck on the track?

WTF is up with the safety crew being on the course and the guys still racing in the second video? Is that really how they run those events?

Local yellow guys, you show caution to the emergency vehicles (2 stations will show a white flag letting you know). You still race though, and this is a decision by the steward for that race - racers prefer this, so that you can get more race time vs a full course yellow, and you lose race time. The decision is based on the accident. If there was track blockage, or the accident clean up was very dangerous (ie, close to the track), then maybe a full course caution is put out. Based on the video showing a full lap, and not noticing the accident, it looks like a good call.

FYI, the e-crew and corner workers are trained to do this as well (it is actually kind of an adrenaline rush for them as well; I have been a course worker for 15 years.)

Yeah very competitive. I can only imagine how it feels during the race. SCCA =

I think so. Do you run your Z at NJMP? This lightning track looks awesome. I can't wait to drive there. Though I have to settle the oil cooler situation first  . I am going to send a letter to Nissan asking them if they are (at all) going to release a Nismo oil cooler that retains factory warranty.

Thanks for the clarification.
