Video of 370Z at Streets on May 2, 2010

Here's a quick video of yesterday at Streets at Willow, running clockwise. I edited out the boring parts when I wasn't chasing cars. Somewhere in this session was a 1:29 lap, but most are 1:31-3s. The car is on the stock tires, with a Berk CBE and H&R Sport Springs, so it can be quicker (especially if I brake more aggressively and don't coast through the "chicane" as much). It's a good little car Nissan put together here!

Great driving. That Cayman S disappeared pretty quick.

How experienced are you on the track ?

Stock rubber and brake components and you reeled in several cars that are supposedly out of our league..

excellent job!

Nice video! Glad to see you pass all of those higher end cars

oil cooler?

RedlineZ 05-03-2010 06:53 PM

Thanks guys! :D

Yes, I have a Stillen 25-Row Race Oil Cooler... which helps a lot because you can run hard for 20-30 minutes without the limp-home mode coming up.

I'm impressed with the car's stock brakes, as they never faded or softened. The stock tires (Bridgestones... 275 rear 245 front) also held up well without getting greasy in the heat.

As you could probably tell I wasn't killing the car. I shifted just before 7K and braked early in a few places, which shows how well Nissan did their homework. I have a few years of track experience but not as much as many who go monthly, so I was definitely happy with the Z. I'll post more in the future as events come up.

On a side note, I used to own a black C5 Z06, like the one I was chasing towards the end. With all the guts that car has, I'm glad he didn't totally smoke me on the straight. The Nissan is a quick car to keep up like that!

Thanks again for the kind words...

Nice driving! I usually don't enjoy these kind of videos, but you chased down so many cars, respect!
