Forged Performance: Feb 22 VIR Invitational Track Day
 

Hi everyone!

Each year, we host a private track day at VIR"s Full Course for Nissan GT-R owners. Last year, we also invited a handful of 350Z's and G35's to join the fun. This year, we'd like to invite a few 370Z owners to join us on track.

The event is limited to 30 participants, and we have just a few spots left. I would love to get some more 370Z owners out. For those that haven't been to VIR, you are in for a treat, as it's arguably the best track in the eastern half of the country.

The event is scheduled for Monday, Feb 22, immediately following the NASA Mid Atlantic event that same weekend. All skill levels are welcome. Keep in mind, this isn't a full blown HPDE. Rather, it's a fun day for Nissan enthusiasts to test their cars and improve skills in a controlled environment. Instructors will be supplied to novices. With just three run groups, you can expect at least 3-4 hours of tracktime. Last year, we transitioned to open run group after 2pm, since everyone was exhausted from driving, and the track had completely thinned out.

I really wanted to buy a wheel trailer for the Z, but noone makes a hitch, so I guess I will just have to get a trailer for the 'ho.

I will be staying at the paddock hotel above the garages, and probably rent a garage too. I did that in November and its the only way to do VIR.

The garages are golden. I only wish they were closer to the main meeting building.
Are you coming to the Sunday dinner/meet and greet Sunday night at the Oak Tree? 6:30pm

didn't know about it, but probably. Actually thinking I may stay at holiday inn in danville instead this time, but still getting a garage in case the weather sucks.

Hey Sharif, I think this may be the first time I'd have to say I wish I was on the east coast. As many times as I've been to VIR, I never have actually driven the track. I would like to at some point.

LOL....welcome to the forum. I was certain you had at least some Kia rental car experience at VIR. :)
