Rear brakes dust shield
Hey guys,
I am gonna replace my rear calipers and rotor soon, should I remove the rear brake dust shield while i am at it or does that actually do something? Thanks |

Pretty much decorative :tiphat: |
Not sure how much you've read up on it, but it seems most people just bend up the lip so that the rotor clears. I've heard it can be a bitch to remove them (not sure how true that is). When I get around to a swap I'm going to bend the lips back.

I'm getting ready to do a brake upgrade and I was wondering about this myself. My intention was to replace mine with the correct ones for the sport brakes, but after hearing this, I'm just gonna cut them. Not worth the time, money and energy.
