FYI the z1 FUCA's are technically illegal in STU.
I ran my first event in STU trim this weekend with 285sq'd (18x10.5) It was 35 degrees.. it's a shame being sideways eats up so much clock :rofl2: |

Dumb question, but where would you get your 1000lb/896lb springs from? I don't think there is such an off-the-shelf offering. |
896lb/in is 16kg/mm. Swift offers that.
Eibach and Hypercoil has 1000lbs Is that what you were asking? |

It'd take a true asshat to protest over something like that -- but it's something to be aware of. |
lets talk coilovers for a minute. I want to go with something in the $1500-2500 range. I want the dampers to be able to be serviced in the states. I know I can get this from Fortune with their 510 series. I also know that the mcs single adjustable are around this range. Looking for thought and feed back on other options to consider.
I trust the guys who actually use their cars over the opinions in the general suspension section. |
What systems are out there which do not change the rear to true coilover? I'm aware of KWv3, but are there others?

You don't have to get the springs from the people you get your dampers from. So long as the dampers are valved correctly for the spring rate you will be using that's what matters.
I have AST dampers and when ordered I just told them to supply springs to the specs I gave them (diameter, free length, and rate). I'll probably be picking up more springs in the near future to test some alternate spring rates. |

As was previously pointed out, you most likely have nothing to worry about unless you come up against a someone willing to suffer the ridicule a weenie protest like this brings upon the protester. |
