NorthStyle 06-30-2017 03:41 PM

Paid my deposit as well, although I'm still hesitant about fitment for 09-13 Nismos...

Spooler 07-14-2017 11:17 PM

Anybody received an update on where they are with these?

echoshotz 07-14-2017 11:30 PM

Starting production. Shipping times are about 6 weeks out.

Hotrodz 07-15-2017 08:43 AM

I've got this diffuser (maybe pre-production #002). I did notice some increased stability under heavy braking. The tail end of the car doesn't wag around alot. I did have to bastardize the install to get it to fit my Motordyne Cat back (the three inch pipes with 5 inch tips are not compatible). It should fit most other exhausts though. The product extremely well finished and the hardware that comes with it is very nice. You'll see the difference more if you have the split style exhaust (MD, FI, HKS) since you wont have air getting trapped under the bumper cover.

(I had the diffuser before the wing so that assessment is accurate before adding more downforce)

Look forward to seeing this on a 15+ Nismo as well!!

Hotrodz 08-02-2017 08:47 AM

Just emailed Eric and he said they are schedule to have production completed by the end of August!:tiphat:

Steeles350 08-02-2017 12:03 PM

Haha I asked in the facebook group just yesterday and got the same answer!

Are you planning on adapting it to the Nismo rear? If so I'm definitely interested since I'm in "need" of a new bumper.

Yup, that is the plan! I am hopeful there is not any difference other than the slight notch for rear brake lite. I am not terribly concerned about asthetics.

NorthStyle 08-02-2017 11:45 PM

That makes one of us lol. I'm hoping that nothing more is needed than minor massaging; the area under the curve where the spats are on the base/sport Zs vs that same are on the Nismo bumper has me a bit concerned but nothing serious. Other than that, depending how how that notch looks I may just swap to the Nismo rear with the fog light built in.

FB page update,

"Units are headed to powder, we're in the home stretch.

Thank you *all* for being patient, only received a few e-mails and the trust in our small business is greatly appreciated.

We only need another person to get in, in the next week or two, and we'll drop pricing by another 5%! Tell your friends :), or buy 2!

Thanks,
Eric"

That is great news...can't wait to get my hands on it.

Hotrodz 08-17-2017 04:31 PM

Come on...someone man up!

OptionZero 08-17-2017 04:50 PM

I would buy one if i could see the fitment on a 15+ Nismo with Fast Intentions exhausts

I am willing to meet anyone in my area for a test fit - and i am also going to socal the first week of September if there's anyone that has it by then in the area. I'll actually be at fast intentions

You should just buy it now so you can get the 10% off, and if it doesn't fit just sell it to someone else for full price :icon17:

But honestly, it doesn't seem like they'll make too many of these based off of the group buy reception :shakes head:

Steeles350 08-18-2017 03:10 PM

2nd price reduction hit (10% off) AND shipping free!

OptionZero 08-18-2017 04:28 PM

Went with Northstyle's urging and grabbed one. I'll test fit it on the 2015 Nismo and report back.

NorthStyle 08-19-2017 05:22 AM

Teamwork makes the dream work!! But all of us Nismo guys, regardless of year, are in the same boat lol

Velox does not know if this diffuser will fit over the Fast Intentions exhaust.

Does anyone on the site have exhaust w/ clearance issues?

Thanks!

Lol, I hope it does as Eric had me send him a bunch of pictures of my exhaust and he said it looked like it would fit without any issues. I guess I will find out when I get it.

There are pictures of it clearing the motordyne exhaust (5" tips required modification iirc) so I can't imagine it not clearing

I only ask because the middle (under axle) portion of Fast Intentions is really low.

Rodger that, he had me measure the distance of that section of the exhaust to make sure there was enough clearance. He said it's close but should work fine.
