Now, this made me pretty sure that my next mod will be LSD, as I feel the car isn't predictable at times, unlike my srt charger which I believe it has a torsen LSD from factory and it is very predictable at track.

However, I am looking at clutch type LSD, specifically OS Giken, as I may buy a clutch kit from them as well.

I've heard Great thing's about the Wavetrac....as i'm N/A & loving my Quaife w/oem 3.357 gearing...just very long-legged.
I'm wanting a second pumpkin w/3.90 gearset & most likely will get a Wavetrac for it,,,just have to satisfy Uncle-Sam first....though/if i can find a good used 15' & up pumpkin,from a M/T Nismo Z....they came w/3.92:1 gearing.

Was there ever a kit developed for a car with an 7A/T and with stock VLSD?

I ordered mine through z1, I also went with the 3.3 out of the 7AT because ill be boosted soon and want all the traction lol. I originally wanted the wavetrack for their wheel locker gig when one tire comes off the ground. they got a hold of me a few days later to tell me the final drive ring and the wavetrack hub is not thick enough to match the ring or there is a gap when bolted, so I was forced to quaife which im still happy about but, just re affirming your assumption of the fitment if anyone want's a final 3.3 gearing the quaife is the only one that fits.

Thanks for the info as I was considering the 3.3 gears!

not a problem, It took a while of digging and research when I first wanted to do this. I know this fast intentions TT kit is killer and I really wanted to keep as much power to the ground in the earlier gears. hoping for some first gear traction with this diff and lower gear and the r888 im running

Hotrodz 07-13-2017 10:39 PM

Good luck with that, I think first gear is bust without drag radials but I was hoping for more grip in second gear on the track. I still loose grip on hard acceleration so depending on the turn I will stay in third gear.

Direct drop in for MT diffs or do the stub axles need machining/replacing?

according to z1 diff page, the stub axle will need to be cutoff/shortened. an actual diff component takes everything up in space and wont have room for the extra inch or two from the stub

Hello, I'm interested on this, however, my car is a 06 350z with open diff. Will it fit? What parts do I need to install it? Also pm me the price too, thanks!
