Oloa 2016

Well, here we are, just 4 days from the start of the 2016 One Lap of America. If you remember, last year we surprisingly won the OLOA SSGT2 BB class (Sports cars, Under $50,000, over 3.5L) over Corvettes, Challengers, and some serious Mustangs. We hope to repeat again this year! More of the same cars await us, along with a GTO that LOOKS seriously hopped up. We came in unknown and quite the underdog last year...I don't think we are going to get away with that status this year!

The addition of some Bilstein PSS10s, a Sparco race seat and harnesses, Phunks upgraded oil pan, and a few little things hope to raise our performance a bit to the next level...suspension is ALWAYS a good thing. We tested at Gingerman Raceway 2 weekends ago to tune the suspension and dropped...4 seconds off of the previous track record for Zs!!!

Hoping you all follow along next week as we visit Pitt Race, Palmer (Whiskey Hill), Summit Point, National Corvette Museum, Road America, Union Grove Dragstrip and Autobahn Country Club. Along with the normal skidpad events at Tirerack, it should be a good week.

You can follow us (Team Blenderblaster) on Facebook, or I will TRY to post updates here also from on the road. Maybe see some of you out there this week!

Good luck! A friend of mine and I considered doing OLOA this year, but couldn't get our schedules coordinated.

If I remember correctly.......you said last year that the car was your wifes and you could only make modifications if she didn't readily notice them. Wondering how she feels about the race seat and harnesses?

I may come up to NCM to witness the spectacle.....weather permitting.

LOL yes those are completely removable so she doesn't mind...much like racing brakes, track tires. I have a long day of "removal" upcoming after the event! Hopefully see you out at NCM! Come and say hi..it is one of our best tracks!

Sorry, I couldn't make it. :( Went out last night to celebrate my retirement. :icon17: Ended up with food poisoning. :barf: I'm in no shape to go anywhere. I'm hoping this torture will be over soon. I'm still not trusting farts.

I was so hoping to meet you. :) And watch the fun.

Now you tell me. A good run, solid but I left some time out there for sure. My best lap was a low 1:30

Yeah, lots of time out there then. I was there, but didn't stop by and say hi. Street tire 370z should be 24's at least on the flying laps. You shouldn't even be able to get to the outside entering 5....momentum/speed should carry you to the inside of the corner naturally or you weren't on it.
