From what I saw this last season, a fully prepped 370 should be able to compete with the BMWs, Caymans (911's are SSP), and STI's given a good driver, especially on more technical courses. The Evo's are the real issue. Also, if you start talking about ProSolo then both of the boost buggies are going to kill us with their AWD launches.

If you look at the results from the last few years at SCCA nationals the Evo's were running times on par with the top SSP vettes.

Ok so boost buggies, either way can the z be that competitive in this class?
Heck even a well prepared m3 or Porsche will be tough in my eyes

M3's shouldn't be (and the E92's are ESP anyway for reasons defying logic), but the cayman and boxster are on the same line, which can create problems if someone wants to spend 125-140k to build it. A 99-00 boxster with a newer 3.4l Cayman S motor would be stoooopid fast in the right hands. Think CSP Miata on steroids.

Honestly, I feel like I could hop in a FULL prep 370 and give the ASP boost buggies all they want in tour format. Even my BSP car, sitting on a slow run in 2014, would have won the ASP championship (I believe).

I'm pretty sure that 2013+ 370z'z actually bump to SSP due to a lapse in the rule book. I looked when I upgraded my clutch a couple months ago. Was miffed that I was classed with stock GTR's and Ford GT's (not that there are any in my region but its the thought that counts)

I thought this was updated, but someone needs to write a letter to get the years bumped to 09-16 (all).
