Nismo withdraws from IMSA for 2016
 

Well this bums me out.....

Nissan says they want to focus effort on GT-Rs in PWC. I'm guessing IMSA's asking price to be an "official automotive partner" didn't make any sense.

BJ, can you shed any light on this?

Pretty bummed about this, really like all their drivers and Steven is a personal friend. Just a great group of people with some awesome cars. This summer's races were some of the best race's I have watched in a while.

Wow, this is very sad and disappointing...I'm glad I did erase the last two races from my DVR.

This is terriblely a bad news and Nissan is not showing good signals in the racing word and enthusiast alike.

So I guess all of this has no meaning at all on my Z!!!

I doubt it, most R&D is derived from racing, not the other way around :cool: With Nissan focusing on the GTR the Z may just go the way of the Dodo Bird again.

:iagree: Pretty piss poor way of doing business. Heck cuts are needed but there are much better ways of handling it.

Nismo GTR LMP1 project was a huge failure...they did not generate much media and consumer attention. Besides 2 GTRs failed to finish the Lemans the other one finished dead last.

Was already an indication of pack your bags and leave.

This is a complete bummer. :( Doran was so competitive this year with the Z.
