Racing Exhaust System for Performance......and better sound

I just completed an HPDE session at COTA with Edge Addicts. My 2013 NISMO worked great. The new CSF radiator and Setrab 34 row external cooler kept my temps well within limits. I had a few guy friends stop by to watch me run. They all commented that they loved hearing the noises of the Porches, Vettes, Vipers blowing down the front straight at COTA. But that my NISMO sounded like a quiet vacuum as I want by at 120. So my question is one of desired extra performance with an aftermarket exhaust but also one of vanity to make my car sound better at the track. I found a few threads on here about too much noise at certain tracks. I'm not aware of that issue at any of the tracks I run in Texas.

BTW, this is still a street legal car, so still need to pass state inspections.

Fast Intentions gets all the love here as the best aftermarket CBE.

One easy solution would be to just remove your muffler when you go to the track. You can have a shop fabricate some down pipes or just go to your local auto parts store and purchase two pieces of 45 degree angle pipe per side.

Here is a DIY I posted. Sorry that the pics are gone.

In a state that allows you to openly firearms in the public, I doubt they give a hoot about a bit of engine noise…..Laguna Seca has a noise limit and few others do as well. In Texas, nope. Sounds like you had a fun day. Looks like a great tack for a car or bike.

racing exhaust and street legal shouldn't really be in the same sentence lol

regardless Fast Intentions is the way to go. amazing sound, best gains, and customer service that gesso above and beyond.

I used to run their non-res test pipes and non-res CBE with the carbon fiber mufflers.

now i'm running just FI straight pipes. this set-up at 120 you hear for miles lol
