racing helmet recomendation?
 
my first time buying a helmet for the track and i just wanted to know does anyone reccomend a specific brand or style
i just want a beginner helmet right now nothing too expensive
maybe between $150-$200
buying a bike soon too so its kinda killing 2 birds w/1 stone
i was looking at this

Indeed, especially if you're going to use it for your motorcycle. Also look into Arai and Suomy because personally I would never buy HJC.

if you want a dual purpose helmet, make sure it is rated SA2005 and not M2005. Most auto events won't allow motorcycle helmets. I recommend you check out Discovery Parts and possibly give them a call for advice, as they are experts.

my brother races super bikes and he is sponsored by Arai and he says they have the best fit and from the crashes i have seen they are very safe with good vents

Not to mention one of the most expensive. I paid roughly over $600 for my Arai Corsair RX-7(motorcycle) and I can't even imagine how much their car helmets cost.

HJC's might be cheap, but one saved my life in a motorcycle accident in 2001. My next helmet was Shoei.
