It does stick out... but it also sticks out like the oil dip stick under the hood, which I painted black... maybe the caps could be painted too

Nope, not without un-mounting the tires which of course costs $$$. I didn't even see these in person until after they were on my car as I had them shipped directly to the dealer that put them on yesterday after putting my springs on. Had I seen them prior to that I would have held off on putting them on until some kind of resolution could have been found. We're dumping all kinds of cash into these cars, myself included, and I think we all can agree we just want it done right and to look good. When something like this happens it's just a huge pain in the *** to fix, costs us (the consumer) extra money that we shouldn't have to spend, and quite honestly - is completely unnecessary and could have been easily avoided.

Details are everything.

kornflake7 08-27-2014 04:15 PM

Details are everything and you should have asked something like that when ordering, I can't say I really blame him when he goes by what the customer asks for, he could have asked if you wanted a diff color but he also doesn't read minds just my .02

Never asked for a silver valve...

I don't think any of us would do that, ever.

But for future reference, Jason, I think you guys should at least throw it out there. Valve stems are probably the last thing on the consumers mind when ordering wheels and tires and could easily be mentioned when asking what color lugs should be shipped out with the wheels.

I already wasn't happy with this to begin with and now here I am, day two of having these on my car, and a handful of friends have already asked me wtf I had silver tpms sensors thrown in these.

James10694 08-27-2014 04:24 PM

Easy fix just offer the black valve stems and caps. Jason is still a good guy to work with. I would have opted for the black cap but tbh i didnt even notice the valve stems just the caps which I will be painting black

I was involved in every other aspect of my order but not this and as you can probably imagine, I'm not happy. These things are hideous! They stick out like a sore thumb and I can't believe you all would have used these when black ones were available, especially considering the black/carbon/silver Forgestar center cap, the black lugs I'm running, and the color of the wheel. Unbelievable.

We actually just got the black/gunmetal valve stems in earlier this month, and you placed your order well before that I believe.
So I'm sorry if you werent notified about these being available.

It is an upgrade that costs $50, but we can have a free set shipped out to you this week. Please email me at Jason@getyourwheels.com with your shipping info and I'll have it sent out.

Hope this helps!

Keep in mind that silver valve stems is pretty much standard across the board, even OEM wheels that come black from the factory use the silver TPMS valve stems.
The TPMS we sell all come with silver valve stems, this was a part we have to purchase separately as an upgrade.

GetYourWheels 09-23-2014 02:00 PM

We currently have a few more sets of the 19x9.5 19x11 F14s IN STOCK and ready for finishing!
Right now is the time to order if you've been interested in a set!
We're turning around black/gunmetal/silver powdercoat finishes in about 2-3 weeks which is way faster than the 6-8 weeks all other retailers needed!

DavidZ370 09-23-2014 03:24 PM

Even Virgin Mary approves of this color

not sure how that even makes sense but you get the point lol

cjwsrt6 09-24-2014 08:41 AM

Hopefully someone can chime in quick, I just got my f14's and have only had the car a week. Trying to put them on and there is a small bolt in between 2 studs keeping the rim from going on? What to do?

LostSol 09-24-2014 08:45 AM

take it off. its not necessary. 10mm socket and youre good.

cjwsrt6 09-24-2014 08:47 AM

Yeah I went ahead and did that. Now I'm curious, what's it for?

LostSol 09-24-2014 08:53 AM

prevents you from putting the rear Z wheels on the front, thats it.

Not every body knows the set up is staggered. Even a shop with some new apprentice could screw it up.

Obviously it has happened before, if they had to go to the trouble of putting it there.

I can see it happening on stock wheels. If one did not pay attention, the stock fronts look pretty similar to the rears.

For aftermarket wheels, if you owned concave wheels or wheels with a huge lip, you would never need those because it is easy to tell which one is which.

James10694 10-01-2014 02:17 PM

I really hate black wheels but the black graphite f14s really changed my mind! Please excuse the wheel gap.
