Don't count on receiving decals from this site
 
Upgraded to premium about 2 and a half months ago and have been messaging AK370Z every week since. If you ever plan on upgrading to a premium member (not worth the 20 IMO) then go with the cheaper option excluding the decals. Very disappointed with how this site is ran..

Im sure they are just running behind. This site is not here to screw anyone over... Also I disagree and find the 20$ well worth it! Try PMing trips he is on here a lot more often.

I'm on my second year and have yet to receive decals
it's all good tho I like the premium benefits

I always just do the standard membership without decals so I guess I don't have direct experience with this but as I said, AK is a stand up guy and I am sure he just has a lot on his plate.

That's fine but not very helpful. Wouldn't you agree that being a stand up guy and being able to operate a business have nothing to do with each other?

No, I wouldn't agree because a persons character is certainly going to be reflected through his/her business. As I said, PM trips he is on here a lot more often. If that isn't enough help, then dispute the charge and move on..

thats strange, i upgraded to premium without the decal option and AK still offered to send me them, pretty sure they will see to it you get some

Im very sorry to hear you have not had a response from AK :(

What I can do is try to get a hold of him so he can get the backlog of decals out to members like yourself.

WE truly appreciate the support, And can only hope you give me some time to get ahold of him.

AK's unfortunately a very busy person off the forum.

I know thats NOT an excuse to be waiting patiently for months or even years if thats the case.

But again I'll do what I can.

Sorry for the delay. I have really really busy :(. I usually process my decal every 4th week (meaning, I gather 4 week worth of members and then send a mass pm. Then according to when they reply, i sent the decals).

Extremely sorry for the delay. You will receive a pm from me and I'll send you your decal as early as tomm if I get your info tonight. Since I have NEVER had waited 10 months to send decals as you're saying, I had to look up your premium subscription. You purchased premium on 10/18/14 which means it should have processed your decals on 11/18/14. But I am running two weeks behind as today is 12/1/14 but still not 2 1/2 months, it's 1 1/2 months. However, still it's not an excuse. Though delay of decals should not be a reason to be upset over "how the site is run", you should measure that over the content of the forum and members post content/thread content etc. If there are other aspect of the forum that made you come to that conclusion, then we can discuss it privately. If it's strictly decals, accept my apology and decal should be shipped tomm (assuming I have pm from you with address tonight)

As for zmanelite, I'm actually shocked. Your name HAS got to be slipped out somewhere. You do not have a pm from me asking about decal selection? odd. Well, send me your address and decal selection. I'll ship out a pair asap.

I agree with most everything that has been said here. With one exception...

This forum is not a business for AK. He does not make money, and in fact, I would venture a guess that running this forum actually costs more of his time than he receives financial compensation for, if not costing him money outright. I certainly hope he gets to pocket a few bucks for his troubles, but don't think that he's paying himself a salary (or any of the mods). To expect the kind of customer service that a goods/services shop should provide is a little much IMO.

I always have to wait several weeks and send a couple of PMs to get my decals. Knowing that AK isn't very active on the forum unless he needs to be, I don't bug him about it because it's not important. I send a PM when I renew, and then another one about 3-4 weeks later. One thing that can help is to check his profile page and see when he was last active. If he's been active recently, you may find it easier to elicit a response (he's actually online right now). Another thing you can do, like SouthArk mentions, is PM Trips - he is a fairly active moderator and should be able to help pass along your request. GL getting your decals, and thanks for going Premium :tiphat:

I've come to notice that a lot of new members tend to think this site is a cash cow for AK and I've even seen people elude to Trips as well. Which is not the case lol. I am just glad this community is active enough and cares enough to constantly address the situation and keep up the good name of the forums. So happy to be apart of this multi billion dollar forum site. Hahaha ha

Thanks for getting back to me. Please excuse my increasing build up of frustration pertaining this issue only. This site has been a great resource to me with everything that I've done to my Z.

Also thank you Trips for working with AK to quickly solve the issue.

I'm a 'premium member' and have no idea what it even does for me. I just know that hosting forums doesn't come cheap, money or one's time, so I always put up whatever dollars it takes to help keep things going on any forum site I join.
I received my decals inside of a week or two, no problem.
AK even followed up to see I got them.
No issues here; sorry to hear you're having some.
I'm sure they'll get sorted out.

I upgrade here recently and in no big hurry for the decals but don't know if I am in the loop yet.
This is a good site with plenty of information to be had. To me it's well worth the cost even without the decals. We should be happy enough with this site and the support it does provide

Let's be realistic here. Vendors and sponsors pay AK to help run this site.

The cost to run this site is:

Domain reg fees + hosting/bandwidth + forum license

The money generated from this site is:

Sponsorship/vendors paying dues + forum memberships


Vendors and sponsors pay good money to be here as they know being here and having a presence = sales. AK knows having a place for them to market = sales for them and is thus valuable for him.

I can't speculate on numbers but again, being realistic, it may not be enough to live on or buy car parts or whatever, but significant money is generated through the370.com, a place we can all agree -- we are thankful that it exists.
