Can there be a way to become an Elite Member without a high post count? Could we add another option under the memberships? Charge...say 30.00 a year for it? At the rate I post it is going to take for ever, I dont mind helping out the forum more for a better title :tup:

Or change "Elite Member" to read "Postwhore"

Hey now...it took years to get it and many great posts to achieve this wonderful title! Along with far more worthless posts which do not contribute to anything. :driving:

It isn’t a big deal it was just a question. I feel like I have contributed quite a bit to the forum and think it’s stupid I have to sit at a computer and post thousands of times to get the title.

No different than you thinking its stupid for me to want to pay for it. At least that would benefit the forum more for all your posts server space. :icon17:

I'll probably get that status in 6 months or so... And I have ZERO issue with being able to pay for it early. And you really would be an "Elite Member" in my books if you contribute more than needed

I hear ya. About the only thing useful to gain 10K posts would be to add a 6" lift kit and turn the Z into a mud slinging beast. Other than that, everything else has been done or said. That's why I just give smart *** answers to most inquiries.

I think a handful of us were already over 10k when AK made that addition to the forum. So we all went elite at the same time. At the time, nogoodname and I were the highest in post count, IIRC. Not sure who was in third place at the time, maybe trips? Dreamer was also up there. :shrug:

Edit: And my post count was legitimate back then :p

Frost is correct, the 'elite' status was added after a few members already had 10k posts so they auto go it. I was around 9k when it was added because I remember slowly watching it go up and change over.

Not sure if it can be changed to include other rules to warrant the title, as it is tied to post count. Maybe if it is tied to post count plus likes received, more likes you have the less posts you need.
