What's going on with the site?

How come now there are words that are double underlined with links to odd site? I even see then in peoples profiles. Anyone else see this?

kdo2milger 07-05-2011 05:34 PM

where?

USMCASA 07-05-2011 05:35 PM

i'm not seeing anything

SPOHN 07-05-2011 05:37 PM

You don't see them? I've see them here and there for the last few days. Right now when I post Nissan under my sig is underlined and in my a avatar eat sleep race, sleep is underlined. But it's not there in every post. I've seen it on others also.

Yea me too. Especially the refresh part

kdo2milger 07-05-2011 05:39 PM

ya, not seeing it on my end...

SPOHN 07-05-2011 05:43 PM

When I search threw threads it takes several seconds to load them. Not happening on any other sites though. But works fine on my Iphone. But I do have the server error on it several times a day.

kdo2milger 07-05-2011 05:45 PM

i think AKs server is about to implode!

phelan 07-05-2011 05:45 PM

the server is overloaded.

as for the other issue you're having, i suspect you have a client-side plugin that's crawling for keywords and making parts of the forums into threads. see if you had anything installed recently, and disable it, then see if it's still the same issue about linking to other random sites.

I am finding some foreign programs that have been loaded that are causing hyperlinks. Seems some are from games my son has downloaded which he's been told about that before. I going to get them cleaned up and see what's up. I just cleaned this baby up two days ago.

kdo2milger 07-05-2011 06:04 PM

you should set him up with his own account that has limited admin or no admin so he wont be able to install anything without your username/password

once you get it cleaned back up that is...

I think we are seeing a lean condition and the knock sensor has pulled timing...

Hence the long refresh time.

SPOHN 07-05-2011 06:36 PM

Ok. I cleared up the hyperlinks. That's good. But there's no doubt the server here is slower. I keep getting the datebase error page alot though.

daisuke149 07-05-2011 06:48 PM

yeah the DB errors are a server issue. The links just means your downloading too much porn. Dont blame that shiz on your son.

Super Moderator II 07-05-2011 06:52 PM

AK, is aware of the database error issue's. :ugh2:

Please be patient as these issue's involve Major work since the whole site will have to be migrated to a New Server.

Thank You.

The site has grown tremendously. This means that the current server is likely at or near capacity and is slow responding to requests. Kudos to AK for migrating to a new server before the situation gets worse. Hopefully there is a corresponding increase in membership and sponsor income to offset the increased cost.

No prob. Thanks.

I'm glad it isn't just me. I thought I had a virus or Malware. I did switch to Google Chrome from Firefox and for some reason its been faster and more stable. But the site is still slower then a few weeks ago.

SPOHN 07-05-2011 07:18 PM

It will get solved. I'm locking thread.
