suggestion on Vendor/Sponsor selling area.
 

Here's my idea, i noticed that when shopping around for new wheels, exhuast, etc, we pm up to 4 vendors at a time.

why not switch it up and have a forum for those who know exactly what they want, post it, then have the vendor pm them with the price, availibilty, etc. This would put the vendor in a more ideal spot to offer competitive pricing and in turn reduce the number of pms by the forum member. This would help the forum member by not having to read through all the other vendors to see if they sell a certain brand, etc.

I know there is a wanted section where i see a couple vendors utilize this, but we should strictly have this forum just for the interest in new products, not used.

I think that's a great idea. A problem I have with some vendors on this forum is that they can take days or longer to reply. On the other forum I get a reponse in hours. So this would only be useful to the vendors that reply quickly.

that's true, but it will also push vendors to be in a more aggressive role towards making a sale, because like you mentioned, when i inquire, im ready to buy and those vendors that are not taking advantage of this site will learn quickly.

Typically when someone makes a wanted thread in the classifieds we'll respond. As far as making a specific section it might get a little messy/overcrowded.

On some of the forums I've been on I've seen this or something similar, it turns into a mess and becomes a vendor war that always ends up ugly. It is a good concept and if it does come to be I hope it works on the370z! If you need anything please let me know!

I think so too, for example, today I'm looking to get some coils, and I have to email 3 different vendors, kind of a long process, especially when you got to keep deleting your outbox to make room. Then I see 2 other vendors that stock It too. I understand that some vendors may think this might get messy, but it would be towards the customers interest. But I do understand the vendors point of view as well.

Don't take this the wrong way, but the point is to get competitive pricing. But it's just a suggestion, wether it happens or not is up to the mods.
