I havent noticed a ride of the month on this forum? I searched it just to make sure im not a complete dumbass

Did you read my mind? I was thinking about suggesting this very thing today

We'd get through a year or so of "unique" cars, and then it'd be the same thing...*insert color of 370 here* with *insert type of Volks here*.

So what. Car of the month would rock!

Someone explain. Would we have a monthly poll or something?

Would it have to be a 370 or within the Nissan family?

yeah its poll based the best part on some forums is that the winner normally gets some stickers! lol and a ride of the month icon by their name

The way it worked at the Harley Truck forums was you had to be a 'paid' member, anyone could suggest a person to the person in charge of the Ride of the Month. Who ever got the most suggestions would win it for that month and be eligable for ride of the year. Ive also seen it done different ways that the suggested people get put into a poll and then the members vote on who they want. I think it would be a nice thing to do, and people who have dedicated alot of time and money into their rides could be recognized for their efforts.

It would be a great way to get more information and pics about the custom z's on here. I know i would be more tempted to actually get a picture of mmy car up if we did this.

Can we add a poll to this thread to better gauge interest for a ride of the month?

Ride of the month would work, might be a few dull months for awhile until people start jumping more into mods (and more mods available).

8th generation civic explains it well, they do it, i happen to like ride of the month.

Thats exactly right! Once we get a few months into it, it'll get dull until we have more stuff hitting the aftermarket and of course that stuff going into our cars. Thats whats exciting about it right now, everything is new. By having a ride of the month it gives people who put alot of dediation into their cars some recognition. It also gives ppeople ideas of what they want to do with theirs, and in sense you'd be able to kind of look at the history of how the aftermarket for our cars evolved.

This idea has been brought to me few months back. It's a good way of showing off your beautiful Z and all the hard work you put into it. You'll see an announcement along with a new section created for "Car of the Month" in future.

Any new updates on ride of the month AK?

This is a good idea, a few other car forums I frequent have this.

One of the forums actually gives away a detailing kit to the winner (soap, wax, clay, polish, towels, etc)....but I think it's from one of the forum sponsors.

With such a huge forum, it's difficult to find the few cars that really stand out.
Giving some visibility to those that have put the effort and creativity into their rides is all good.

Motoextreme, DJcuetip, and VIPstatus have the most extensively modified 370s on the forum..they deserve a shoutout

I think we should decide when to start this race.
I say we start May, cause that's when the weather is nice and warm and people take their z's out of storage and start modding!

I will let everyone when this is ready to go. You'll see a thread in the announcement section along with new section. There are other stuff that needs to be done before this.
