Read/Unread Threads on Diff Computers

I check the forums on 4 different computers. Home desktop, home laptop, iPhone and work computer (which can be 1 of 6 PCs). Each thread that I read or mark as read is only remembered on that specific browser, so each time I go to a different computer, I have to go back through and figure out which threads I've read or which ones I haven't.

Is there any way to have the topics that are read/unread stick with the user, not the browser?

Also, small complaint by the way, if there is an unread thread and I click on the thread to read it, and then click away from the parent forum, the parent forum will still falsely show that there is an unread thread in it. I'm guessing there may not be a solution for that.

its i.p. based...also depends on whether you are using 64 bit verses 32 bit too...

You can solve this problem by logging out after each session. Each member's session is kept "active" for x minutes. Even if you switch computers, it will still recognize as same session. Simply log out after each session and you'll be fine.

Thanks

either that, or marking all forums read before leaving.

I'll try that! I always stay logged in, which I guess make sense because the session never gets closed with the server if I never log out.

Thanks AK!
