Just curious , but I am wondering if there is anyone over here in SE area, Clear Lake , etc. that might be interested in getting together for lunch occasionally just to meet & greet. Talk cars and everything else on the planet. I contacted the Houston Z group, but they seem to be all on the far west side, and are far younger than me. I am a member of a sailing org (11 years ) and it's been great. This could be also.

Good luck with that. I'm just north of downtown and I don't see to many events my way either. It's all sugar land/Katy from what I see. There needs to be a meet inside the beltway. It inside 610 in a perfect world. Although it can be hard to find a good parking lot.

The meets do get skewed to the west side often since everything inside the beltway worth going to has terribad parking. Our meet last week was in Uptown Park around 610 and San Felipe. All I can say is, post suggestions in the Facebook group!

Lastly, in our (young people's) defense, we do talk cars and everything under the planet. :icon17:

Doesn't matter to me, I'll be carless. :p

The car will be dropped off at Kosmic that afternoon so I'm homebound.

Hey, this is a good response , and good thoughts! Up Town Park is a really nice place. I was working around there when it was being built. I guess meeting in parking lots is because of the room necessary. But, for a few people for lunch, a Chili,s or Applebee's , etc. would work. My apologies to the younger crowd.
I'll be gone till after Thanksgiving. I'll check back then.

We have a group here in the SE area - clear lake, league city, kemah consist mostly 350's and 1 Nismo 370. Car meets are next to none round' here and every now and then a few of us (if not all) get together at the kemah car meet at 2094 Target/Home Depot center. Mostly hot rods and domestics with an older crowd and family oriented. This meet happens every Saturday night starting at 7 (that's the time we get there... if weather permits). We usually correlate through the 350z forum as some of us don't have FB. If you're interested PM me for details.

will try and get some more southside meets planned. while im here though let me share this with you guys ....

this event is not on the southside but i forget that some people dont facebook. would love to have that southside crew present at jtran for the holiday party. we will be doing $20 dyno pulls

I'm in the Clearlake area and yes there's virtually no car meets down here. There's a domestic/muscle car meet at Home Depot near me every other Friday night but that's about it from what I've seen. I'm usually over in Cypress area on weekends though and I know SSP usually throws some small car meets that their shop every once in awhile.

Whoot! I'm off on the 21. I guess I will be checking this event out. Hope There isn't a crazy line for a dyno run. It would be cool to see what numbers my car put out.

As for Guru, u in the North side? I'm off live off Ella and Spears. I have only seen 1 black and 1 white Nismo in the area. If u ever spot a Gray Nismo with a Saints sticker in the back, that's me.

So who is down to check out the kemah meet this Saturday? Maybe 5 or 6?

I was but took myself out for personal reasons.

Warning: yaw ain't missing anything. Just a lot of domestics, hot rods and a laid back environment. If yaw go, post up here and let me know in advance, I'll show up for support ^_^

we are going this saturday and we are gonna do our best to bring a fair amount of cars. we are trying to do our best to get down south for more meets.

Okay. 5-6 maybe a little early but yaw can pick your location and park together, which is important. My z car friends and I usually park at the Home Depot end which is on one end of the meet, it's not the center attention area - FYI.

Since its Thursday, late in the week, I'll see who can show up for more support. If yaw feel the meet is bunk, Kemah boardwalk is across the street so yaw can migrate there for more entertainment.
