OMG poor car :(

At least you are alright. Looks low speed even though the bags deployed.

iceman21_23 07-02-2009 11:50 AM

20-40 mph i would say if i remember correctly she ran that stop sign u see infront of the bank

shabarivas 07-02-2009 11:55 AM

Good luck w/ repairs man - any idea what the damage is? Your wheels look a-ok - so hopefully not any crazy frame damage type issues - let us know man.

iceman21_23 07-02-2009 11:59 AM

well my suspension in the rear is gone... i know that much just from watching it roll onto the tow truck and it hit right where the crossmember is in the hatch.

m4a1mustang 07-02-2009 12:14 PM

Man, that sucks. It is hard to look at because I have the exact same car!

k20z3 07-02-2009 12:15 PM

Oh my god man so sorry :(

Caravanshaka 07-02-2009 12:34 PM

I'd be pissed. the pic of the back of her car explained it all though...she's an aggie :barf:

hope you can get it fixed up quickly

nogoodname 07-02-2009 12:38 PM

GL with the repairs. Make sure frame isn't bent up. I doubt it is but have it checked.

theDreamer 07-02-2009 12:39 PM

This sucks, sorry to hear this, hope all the repairs go well and you get your car back nicely.

CrownR426 07-02-2009 12:42 PM

Have you contacted insurance?
It shouldn't take a long for them to fix it for you.
A week tops!

except a lot of our parts aren't readily available yet. I think modshack waited over a month for a front bumper.

wstar 07-02-2009 12:44 PM

I don't know if I could help myself from waiting till she got out of the car then running her down with mine. Someone running a stop sign and nailing your new sports car sucks :shakes head:

Mrabyss 07-02-2009 12:53 PM

This is why I would want to carry a handgun in my car. This is also why I don't carry a handgun in my car :)

Stupidity should be more painful.......in fact I am all for making stupidity a criminal offense that repeat offenders forfeit their life. But that is just me, I loathe stupid people.

nogoodname 07-02-2009 01:49 PM

I wouldn't wait for her to come out. I'd be in her face right away.

Actually I do carry a handgun in my car at all times. Self-control isn't too hard, I was mostly joking above, mostly :p

tru_Asiatik 07-02-2009 04:27 PM

sorry to hear but hate to be the bearing of bad news but with suspension gone most likely there is frame damage
a shop may say its fixable but not to extent that its going to be safe to drive :(

frost 07-02-2009 07:07 PM

Sorry about your luck mate. Looks easy repairable though.

fuct 07-06-2009 02:11 PM

HT Rambler 08-04-2009 06:02 PM

Damn that sucks. Private parking lot at the HEB in Bay Colony. If she would have been on the roadway it would have been a ticket for her.

Misconception, there can still be a citation issued because there is still a posted stop sign and she disregarded. There can also be an accident report taken due to the damage obviously being over $1,000 dollars although it leaves more discretion to the officer since it was in a parking lot as whether to do a report or not. GL to you bro !:ughdance:

Steven 10-12-2009 12:58 PM

i dont live too far from you. sorry about the accident. i f-in hate houston drivers for the most part.. grrr..

We never cite people in a private parking lot. We get both parties to exchange info unless there are injuries then its a report. My buddy works for League City which is considered Galveston County. He says the DA allows them to cite on private property for no insurance.

iceman21_23 10-12-2009 05:23 PM

my gf's uncle is the chief of police for league city, he said that the stop signs on private property are useless but that if an accident occurs the officers have the ability to site for it.

bigaudiofanat 10-12-2009 06:21 PM

I am glad to hear everything went alright. I just look at those pics and think I hope that is not what will happen to my Z when I get it. I guess I will just have to be extra cautious. Good luck with it and watch out for crazy people.
