Ah, I have been around a few lots but never seen his car.
What days/times are you on campus this semester?

I am just there T/Th from 2-5:30 (or 6).

Guess who spotted me last night driving home from Austin?

Police of Douchbag County. Officer Soapapilla
Everyone always thinks they weren't going as fast as the police officer said. But i know it wasn't in this case! Going 65 when everyone is going 75+ is freak'n annoying. Yet they didn't get pulled over, my Z did. UGH!

theDreamer 01-25-2010 04:26 PM

Did he give you a ticket or the...I could give you a ticket, but am going to let this one slide, bs line?

antman22 01-25-2010 04:34 PM

Officer Soapapilla...hahahahah, you almost made me LOL at work!

As in: "your going to recieve a citation..." before i even grab your license and insurance type of guy. Didn't even ask me Why were you going soo fast? Or, anything like that.
So i ask: Sir, can i see the gun that shows my speed?
Officer: sure hold on
Me(Thinking) CRAP, i thought that would work
Officer: shows me the gun.
Me: WHen was it last calibrated?
Officer: They are calibrated every night before we go out. I'm using the LIDAR laser sights. I pointed it at your right front headlight
Me: slient...
Officer: where do you work? //asked my wife the same thing...How long you've worked there?
Me(thinking) why does where i work matter? I work for ROCKSTAR Studios and i designed GRAND THEFT AUTO 2,3,4,5,6 PIGGY. The part where I'm a bad A $ $ and all the cops couldn't stop me(again me thinking not saying)

normally i would do the defensive driving etc.
But i used that up in 2009. July 2009 i got ticket and went on probation. My probation ends in 2 weeks :shakes head::crying:

vipor 01-25-2010 04:45 PM

I'm very surprised that he knew what type of sights he's using and all that.

deferred adjudication. costs the same, but no points. and defensive driving and such are tied to the city, not the county or state. i've been on 3 deferred adjudications at the same time before.

Wait wahaa???!?! DO TELL ! It's not limited to my personal driving record?
I thought i was screwed!

I probably had about 40 or so tickets from 16-20, so I figured out the rules quick.

I once received 4 citations at once in Lewisville. Found out at that point that they could only put 3 citations per ticket. The cop had me sign the first piece of paper for the first three. Then got another and started writing. I was all "Uhm, is that all?" That was not all... :shakes head:

Oh if I had all the money I spent making "donations" to my neighboring cities....

oo7mech 01-25-2010 06:18 PM

maybe you should start a thread with all your knowledge?! I was pretty good about not going faster than the cars around me. But then again, i really didn't have a car faster than all the cars around me either.

I was going to get one of those ticket lawyers my co-worker recommended. But, if it won't hit me on points. Then i won't fight it. Even though i should.

vipor 01-25-2010 06:31 PM

Yeah, one of those things.....

My (4) citations:
Racing
Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road
No Insurance
Bald Tires

It was a group of probably 60 people in the warehouse area behind Main Event in Lewisville. There were only (2) ways in or out and they set up a roadblock on one end, then came in the other. We were screwed. They had a UC in plain clothes making a list of what everyone was doing for maybe an hour. Then when we pulled up at the checkpoint on the way out they would radio him, get what we did, then check for other bs (like my tires.) There was a raced out Fox-body, some turbo 'Busas, modded Vettes, SR20 swaps, everything. I ended up getting the 3rd most tickets that night out of the group.

Racing > Defensive Driving
Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road > Deferred Adjudication
No Insurance > I had insurance, just not on me. Hadn't printed a new (current) copy.
Bald Tires > Non-moving violation. Got it lowered to $50 (minimum amount to cover "court fees.")

Probably cost me about $1000..... :shakes head:

Bummer dude. Was it on highway 71 before Austin or after you'd already hit Dallas?

dalparadise 01-25-2010 07:52 PM

Back on point:

I passed a Solid Red Coupe (non sport) and a Brilliant Silver Coupe (also non-sport) on my way to work this morning (Beltway 8 South, westbound). These cars really stand out in traffic! Traffic was kinda medium, so I was focused on driving, not waving, but I admired your cars.

I was the guy with the top down in 42-degrees, in case you were wondering.

It was on I 35 E North. Just before Waco. I don't know what City i was in.

[quote=Antman22] I call him Officer Soapapilla because he was Latin and tubby. Instead of eatting donuts, he eats Soapapillas with Cinnamon sugar, Honey and Ice cream. SOO GOOD! I'm part latin too so i can call him out on it.
