PLEASE READ
Ok.. Well this is very good, we are planning things together now... So now with this new information... Should we still have our meet today? Or move it to Tuesday? I need to hear from you guys on this...

(NOTE: We can still do something today if you guys want to...)

USMCram 12-08-2011 12:30 PM

if we do today, i say we do it earlier, sort of a meet and greet. if not, some other day would be fine, but if we do it another day, I can take my dslr and snap some pics of everything...

El Jale 12-08-2011 12:54 PM

Well, Tuesday would be best for me. I planned my work week around it, an this week Thursday was open, then rescheduled... I don't want to call in to work today, so yeah Tuesday is better all around for me.

LEGA-Z 12-08-2011 02:01 PM

ATTENTION!
Thursday meet has now been moved... Details on main page. Hopefully everyone can attend!

El Jale 12-08-2011 04:04 PM

Guilt free!!! lol.. Awesome man.. I'll be there! Everyone be shiny, I'm learning to use my new camera and wanna take some good pics.

USMCram 12-08-2011 04:13 PM

As do I. Leave some photo ops for me dude!!!
God, sometimes I feel like such a f*ing idiot. I read all that wrong and got confused. I want my sanity back! I just now realized that tomorrow was off and moved to Tuesday.

:shakes head: lol... Don't worry... haha.. Hey is anyone up for a cruise this Sunday? I will post more information as I get it from the Z Enthusiasts on FB.

USMCram 12-08-2011 08:59 PM

maybe... let us know whats up..

side note, seeing as how ELJale wants to practice his photo skills, and so do I, we should set up a day for a photo shoot. I have some good ideas, and a decent camera, and I think it'd be cool to have two different photographers doing some photos. I like to mess with HDR photos, as well as just standard photo stuff, and I think we can find some good spots to shoot at. Palm crossing being one of them.

ElJale if your down let me know. I'll start scouting out some good spots and let you know what I find.

Yeah totally! That's a great idea!

El Jale 12-09-2011 12:15 AM

I'm down... The industrial trade zone has some nice spots... But anything goes.

USMCram 12-09-2011 07:07 AM

down on military??

El Jale 12-09-2011 10:54 AM

Yeah.. My buddy took some shots of my 350 a couple years back... I think in have them on my albums.

LEGA-Z 12-09-2011 01:05 PM

Hey there were two red 370z's at the HEB on 10th at 1:00pm... Who were they? Jazz and Joe?

batman_4 12-09-2011 01:54 PM

Jazz8560 12-09-2011 07:21 PM

Yea buddy it was prob me... I work at heb on 10th.

El Jale 12-09-2011 09:03 PM

Mmmm... Post MAF tubes look good.. I already have the drop ins and I'm getting quotes on having the short tails made. I had a resonator delete done on my 350z done for 50 bucks once... It was a clean bolt on bolt off part.

LEGA-Z 12-11-2011 09:17 AM

Checked the weather... And Tuesday is going to be quite nice! And don't forget to treat your Z to a nice wash... Especially if she got a taste of yesterday's rain...

USMCram 12-11-2011 12:07 PM

rain, mud, dirt.... my car is sooo sooo dirty. Living on a ranch when it's raining blows.

El Jale 12-11-2011 12:17 PM

USMCram... Wash, clay bar, wax, and buff... PM me if you need some help on Tuesday. My car is still tucked away in the garage.

Well my car has been safely tucked away in the garage for the weekend... But this morning.. I opened the garage and the water trapped in folds poured on my car.... So she needs another cleaning.

OH MAN!!! The same thing happened to me!! LOL... But it's a minor touch up compared to a total detail.

Yeah... Haha... Just finished the wax coat... Waiting for it to cure.. to buff it out.... Only thing is I can't wax the clear bra.. :/ which sucks cause you can kinda tell the difference between it and the non clear bra... Thinking twice about the clear bra... Plus dirt can get stuck in the edges of the bra... Then you can't get it off...

Oh and does anyone know a way to polish or clean properly a clear bra... Cause I clean it like I clean my windows... Works fine, but anything better???

ambasaador 12-11-2011 06:37 PM

Ill be going to the track this Wednesday. friendly race anyone? :)

USMCram 12-11-2011 09:11 PM

clearbra can be waxed. theres a DIY about installing the clearbra, he talks about how he maintained it as well.

USMCram 12-11-2011 09:19 PM

Think hard before you take it off. I'll show you my rock chips on tuesday..

Joe711 12-11-2011 10:15 PM

eric8x 12-11-2011 10:16 PM

No I probably won't take it off... It's just a trade off I guess... That I will have to live with... I'll look into the waxing thanks!

Well I use turtle wax car wash... It's great cause it doesn't streak... And then a gloss preserver from Polysteel... It's pretty good...

I'm afraid of buffers.... I'm a huge fan of the clay bar, but it's alot of work.. Wash, dry, claybar, cleaner wax, buff, wax then buff that.

Well...... I am not sure what I was smoking when I said this.... But Tuesday won't be a walk in the park... Well it will probably be much like today with a rainy morning, but then calm down as the afternoon approaches.. I pretty sure it will be just fine around the time we are planning to get together... maybe some damp roads, but thats all... Might need to stay off the expressway and do a chill cruise on old 83, to avoid getting unnecessary water/dirt on our Z's... But we shall see as the time approaches, but as of now the event is still a go.

Here's a view of the weather for that day...

USMCram 12-12-2011 07:31 AM

Damn weather. My car is even dirtier now. The drive to work this morning really got her filthy. Anyway,
I use meguiars ultimate paste wax. It's easy to use, and does a decent job at protecting. I was considering a carnauba wax, but read that those are a lot of work.

Joe711 12-12-2011 07:52 AM

You Guys do it by hand ? I was thinking like a porter cable

El Jale 12-12-2011 02:20 PM

USMCram... It's a bit too humid to do wax right now... It won't dry/haze to buff out.

batman_4 12-12-2011 03:07 PM

any of you guys know of a shop that will do some alignment on my Z? an in ground lift would be ideal due to my drop.

El Jale 12-12-2011 05:16 PM

Check Economy on 23rd and business 83. Just north of the bank.. Can't remember their lift.

USMCram 12-12-2011 07:23 PM

oh yea, I know. Not gonna wax. I'm going to wait. I think tomorrow, I'm just going to do a thorough wash tomorrow.
