Moving to Dallas (Arlington)
 

I've been unable to find any work here in Little Rock for months now, so I'm coming to Big D to stay with my sister to see if I can find a good job down there. It would be nice to maybe meet/make some new friends down there.

Oh snap, come to dallas and make me some spacers lol I also moved to arlington last November to live with my sister lol sounds like a familiar story. I won't be the only blue on around anymore haha

All my MDF board is going in storage along with everything else. I'm only driving down with what I can get in the Z...and that 'ain't' a whole lot! :icon17: My suitcase with some clothes, two suits, my PC, and my DJ mixer...that's it. I'll be lucky to cram all that in there.

If you have a jig saw or can get one, I can help you make the spacers. The tools are going in storage too.

Welcome to NRH, that's where I'm at. I'm not aware of anything going on this weekend but every Wednesday there is G meet in Addison. I know a few forum members on here (sexZness and tsolin01) attend occasionally. I work on Wednesday evenings so i'm not able to make it as often as i'd like. Also, the first Saturday of every month there is Cars & Coffee at Classic BMW in Plano.

This is a weekly Occurence Meet every Wednesday. Dont have to be modified to show up. Just a fun hangout and get together to break up the busy work week most people have. Also there is no loud Music, Peeling out....civilized get together since we are all mature.

Out of curiosity, what type of job are you looking for?

Project Management in no particular field. I had spent most of career (about 15 yrs) in retail mgmt. up until around 05', at which point I stopped working and went to finally finish my bachelors degree in MIS. Got a job with a software co. in 07' as a project coordinator. Never got the PM title while I was and this has been my only job within the IT industry. It's been tough trying to land a similar position. While I'm here in DFW, I may start studying again to take my CAPM exam with the Project Mgmt. Institute. I had been doing this in 08' until work started sending me on the road more to work on projects, and never got around to taking the test.

Dude you should totally look into a job at Match.com. I worked there from 09-10 and that place has more Product Managers (really they are project managers but since it's all internal with no external clients they have a different title) than anywhere I've worked or heard about in Dallas. And they always seemed to be hiring more. Salary was very competitive with other agencies (I work in the creative/design field) in the area.

Yes, a bunch of G's meet every Wednesday night at Houlihan's in Addison around 8pm. They park in the empty spaces left of Men's Warehouse.
