Weather permitting, I'd like to take a trip out to the drag strip next Wednesday. Anyone down to come? So far TBSS and pg6spd were planning on attending. Even if you just want to watch, it would be nice to have a good turnout of Z's there.

is that the place out on I-10 heading toward Houston?
If so how much to run and do you need a helmet?

hitman - would be a good time, bring the Z out. This will be my first time out at the track in a RWD car

Caneman - you are correct, its out on I-10 west in Marion. If you are clocking 13.99 and lower, you do need a helmet. They may have a loaner out there you can leave a deposit for, but I'm not 100% sure.

i should be getting my exhaust that day. what time you all going...i'd like to get some track action.

Awesome, best way to break it in! Which are you getting? I would say about 7ish? They close at 11 and Wednesdays are usually not packed so we can get our 20 bucks worth.

well if a lot of people are going with Z's are going to be there then hey i may heavily think about it. Also, the times i been there if you run a constant under 14's then they may say something. Last time i went i ran 13.8(stupid csc issue) a good couple of times and they never said anything to me.

can we race each other or just the clock how many Z you have going on wed.:driving:

i might just end up spectating tmrw if anything. my clutch seems to be acting funny and the last thing i would want is for it to give up on me out there.

Yessir, i've noticed when i park and leave the car in 1st the clutch will have way too much play on restart until i put some miles. Happens some times, not all the time.

What time is everyone heading to the track?

I want to get out there around 630ish so I can let the car cool off for a good 45 minutes since I know the oil temp will be high :rolleyes:
