Great drive
 

Going from Dallas to San Antonio area this weekend. I plan on taking 281 most of the way as I've heard it's a great drive. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Place to really be careful of cops?

Marble Falls area is nice but you need to go further West to hit the nice roads in the TX Hill Country.

FYI DPS is out there and so is the local sheriff so watch your speed and have your front plate mounted.

Yeah ditto about the front plate. Ive been pulled over for not having a front plate on the bumper (its in the windshield) however the trooper admitted the law is vague about placement of said license plate. Ended up getting a warning and a nice 15 min chat.

i know they were doing a lot of construction down from dfw to san antonio. but overall its a nice drive.
